There aren't too many places in the GTA with Detroit style pizza so this has been on my list of want to go places, and it was definitely worth the wait.
Outside of the Detroit style pizza, Afro's has so many unique pizza flavours that you won't find anywhere else. They also have a seasonal menu which was very interesting as well. I was a little overwhelmed with the selection, so I went with the recommendation of Jackie Brown's since I love jerk chicken to begin with.
It was delicious. The dough was springy, the crust was nice and crispy, and the combination of jerk chicken, onions, jack fruit, and crispy jalepenos blended so well together.
It was great chatting with the gentleman running the store while I was waiting and I was able to get great insight into their history and approach to making pizza.
I'll definitely be back to try the other flavours. Highly recommended!

One of the best pizzas I’ve eaten in my entire life! The vibes in the cozy spot were immaculate, just a pizza artist jamming out to music perfecting his craft! I will make a trip here every time I’m in Toronto to visit this hidden gem of a pizza place. The Hot Pepperoni pizza with honey was to die for. I’d give 6 stars if possible

Really great spot for Detroit style pizza I'm Toronto. The chef doing the pizza in the front is really fun. Very friendly.
Pizza was really unique and delicious. Maybe a bit more $$ than expected, but I know Detroit is usually more, and it's Toronto after all.
Would still go back so many fun options and flavors to try.

Loved the GF crust with the Jerk chicken! Probably the best alternative crust I've tried in this area. It was chewy, cripsy around the edges, and super satisfying, even my friends who weren't GF loved it.
