Ugh I love this place, I was here for my birthday and Alex our server was the BEST his recommendations were on point, everyone left feeling FULL (price was very reasonable at 8ppl $1,200). I got exactly the experience that I wanted with out server; he was so friendly very knowledgable about the food made the perfect recommendations to make sure everyone got fed (steered me away from ordering things that only come in two portions and if things came in three portions he would bump it up to four so I could get two and give everyone a try)— even with my espresso martini he was like what kind of vodka and I was like idk girl just don’t charge me $300 for top shelf and he was omg of course not I’ll make it how I like it myself and of course it was amazing. I literally cannot express enough how everything he recommended was top tier, like the food is delish every time I come here but with his guidance I was able to really elevate the experience for my girls. And he even recognized my perfume, ok class. The only thing is they auto charge a 20% gratuity which is fine but I was in a rush to get my group to the next reso and I was drunk otherwise he defs deserved a better tip, Alex next time babes I swear 🫶🏻 i only took a few pics cause I was really living in the moment but I think they are pretty good examples of the quality of food

One of our top 10 restaurants in Toronto! Never disappoints! From the entrance, the hostess, so welcoming, kind and warm , to the service (10 out of 10) , to the coat checkout! Everyone did outstanding job ! The food was so delicious , always consistent! Admirations to the team ! Can't wait to be back !

Celebrated our Anniversary at Akira Back and the food and vibes were fantastic, service was mostly good but at one point we were waiting for our sushi for over 30 minutes, it was only until I asked our server to check on it that it finally came out, which leads me to believe they forgot about us. I also noticed larger groups seemed to be prioritized as their food would come out much quicker, sometimes even before us, even though we ordered before them. If not for that, this would be a 5 star review.

The restaurant is stunning and has a beautiful ambiance, but the sushi was slightly underwhelming. Service could also be improved; the staff seemed focused on taking orders quickly rather than engaging with guests. It felt more transactional than welcoming.
Amazing food. We got the rock shrimp, cucumber salad, miso cod, hot mess, and show me the roll and omg it was all soooo good. And the dessert was decadent. Service was amazing. Shout out to Willow for the attentive and prompt service. She was knowledgeable and made us feel so welcomed. 5/5 stars.

A beautiful restaurant, with a high class but relaxed vibe. Service was impeccable, and very accommodating to food allergies like celiac. It’s likely not a dedicated kitchen but the service was knowledgeable and patient. Jennifer and team really took care of us and although we were dressed very casual the level of service was consistent.
