Came here for our anniversary last night and had a wonderful experience. Our server Jen was amazing and I hope she gets recognized for what a wonderful person she is. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice. I like how pretty my cocktail was. I think I got the Geisha. Would recommend and will come back again 🥰

This place is tooooo good. My fiancé proposed to me right after this dinner. We had too much fun trying the chefs mystery box, talking with the waitress, and learning about each dish! The mystery box was insane. The Tacos were amazing. Every single thing on this menu hits. Great for a special occasion!

Saw a post about a cherry blossom themed menu so I thought I’d check it out. The entryway was beautifully decorated to match their seasonal menu theme. The interior of the restaurant wasn’t matched to the season, taking on a host of blacks & greys. The lighting managed to make your table feel isolated despite the open floor but the open floor made it difficult to hear my coworker who had joined me. The Geisha cocktail came with a spectacle, as this wasn’t my drink I have no idea how it tasted. The Haru was a bit underwhelming but did come a whole $9 cheaper than The Geisha. The Salmon Tataki was excellent but the AB Wagyu Tacos were honestly a little underwhelming. Given that they’re made with ground beef we couldn’t really feel how premium the beef was. The blossom platter was great, coming with Toro caviar, 8 sashimi, 4 nigiri & 1/2 a roll allowing you to try out a variety of the sushi menu. I’ve since forgotten the name of the seasonal dessert but I was very beautifully designed, the taste however was much less impressive. The restaurant provided complimentary coat & bag checks and our server was attentive throughout our meal - so I would say that the service was excellent.

My wife and I had an amazing dinner and time here, and we're so glad we got a reservation 💯 (front desk, you rock 🪨 🎸). This is probably the best dinner I've ever had!!! The wagyu tacos are unbelievable 😳 and are the best thing I've ever tasted 😋 💯! We will be back again soon, and I hope anyone seeing this will give them a try.

This was my first time at Akira Back. Went with 2 girlfriends last week and I enjoyed it. Drinks were a little pricey (downtown TO pricing in effect), but they were good. Vibes were immaculate. Food was delicious - raw bar, king crab fried rice and the Wagyu tacos were so good. Icing on the cake was our server Jenn who was fun and attentive.
It was an absolutely delightful experience! Not only was the food delicious🍣🍹, but it was also beautifully presented—perfect for 📸 The restaurant has a modern and stylish atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. Everything was just perfect!

We had the chef selection spring platter which was perfect for two. The crispy rice and rock shrimp were delicious! The old fashioned was a bit on the sweeter side. The spring special sake cocktail was really good as well. The ambiance was Nobu-esque.
