Update: I love their rotis however they desperately need to work on everything else. There is this older lady there who is just rude to everyone. I spent 20 minutes waiting and I nicely asked how much longer it would be. I always try to be understanding. This woman turned her back like I was bothering her and told me "I told you it will be ready soon" while shooing me away. Excuse me? Who do you think you are? You've wasted 20 minutes of my time the least you can do is say it nicely. I tried to go every time I was in the area, once or twice a week but I won't be going anymore.‐‐--‐-----Albert's what can I say, they make good food. Before having theirs I never liked coleslaw but I decided to try it since it came as a side with their dinner meal and wow. The roti is always really good and hot despite the fact that I travel 40minutes from them to get home.I give a 4 star instead of 5 for two reasons but they aren't really deal breakers. They do not accept cards only cash in this day and age. I always have to find an atm and in fact the hassle of finding cash prevents me from going there more frequently.Secondly there is usually a long line and a longish wait for the order to be fullfilled. I've had the occasion where I went in and got served right away but typically there is a line. But that just means it's good?Anyway tldr; the food is really good. I'd go more often if they took card payments and had a few more people working to help with the line ups.

I didn't get a chance to taste the food because the service was really really terrible. Especially from the "manager-acting" slim girl. I had 20 USD, and the food was 21CAD (approximately 15USD). The girl said we'd get no change. And when we showed the conversation rate she said, and I quote "give them back their money, I ain't got time for this". So yes, very terrible person and experience.
The best Jamaican food in Canada. No exceptions. Albert's has been a Toronto staple for as long as I've been alive. Everyone who works there has always had a fantastic attitude. God

Omg completely turned off from any Caribbean food after this! Please don’t waste your money or time! I bought 4 plates of oxtail each costing 21$ and it was the worst meal ever the meat was all mushy and fatty no flavour at all. I’m sorry but I might as well have eaten dog food because that food was so disgusting!Don’t waste your money totally not worth it 100$ down the drain.
