I was very disappointed last time I went here. I ordered a standard pork gyro and was not satisfied. I was waiting a long time for a simple gyro and when it was time to pay they gave me the wrong change skipping out on over 1 dollar. I did point out the mistake to the owner who is by the way not even Greek. This explains the bad service and increased prices as it was apparently sold a while back. The prices were over 10 dollars for a simple Gyro and the meat was burnt. Needless to say when the new management took over this Danforth staple went down hill fast. I won’t be going here again.

Ordered a dinner for 2 that was supposed to come with pop bottles and large gravy and they gave canned pop instead and did not give us our Greek poutine we asked for very disappointing

Like others are saying. It's not the same. Haven't been in years. Was on tye Danforth after a couple drinks and it use to be my go-to! I'll never go back. If you went in the late 90s to before covid, it was always worth it. I didn't finish the pork or chicken gyro. Was so disappointed.

The poor people are trying, but they don't even know how to say the word "round". Come on. The food is not authentic, the oregano has no taste. They put vinegar on the potatoes, the feta cheese is too salty, blah.... It's not worth eating here, even if it's 1 in the morning and you're hungry. Better go to a gas station for Donuts.
I'm not going again. "Alexander" only in name, not in deeds.

Summary: This 'Greek food' is as 'authentic', as federal Express is a government agency.

Doesn’t taste the same. Not Greek food at all.

Excellent food and great service! Best gyros in Toronto

Absolutely disgusting. The place is filthy and food quality has gone down big time. Chicken gyro and fries took 15mins to make. Fries were dripping oil in my container. I threw it all out.
The kitchen is dirty and downstairs there is only a men's washroom only which is absolutely disgusting and scary to use (women's wc was blocked off) The food storage room cannot be up to health standards. I will never step foot here again. It's really a shame because it used to be good.

Since new owners took over the gyros are TINY. Literally half the size they used to be. The Greek salad is almost entirely iceberg lettuce. I so badly wanted them to succeed but they are squandering all the customer loyalty they inherited. Sad.

After walking in and reading the reviews my expectations were not high. However, the food was actually not bad - it was a little bland. I got a falafel and it was good but missed the turnips and tahini because it wasn’t an option.

The atmosphere could be better with some music and put aside their cleaning supplies and piles is drinks but other than that - it was ok.

I don’t think I would go back - I think they would be well served by changing it from a Greek place to a Mediterranean spot and changing the name - just my personal opinion.

This place still being open is a disgrace to what was once a staple of the Greektown community. The gyros used to be one of the best on the danforth but now it is absolutely disgusting. Took two bites and threw it in the garbage, never coming back here and it breaks my heart.

Worst gyro sandwich I’ve had. The pork was extremely dry, the sandwich was small & had no flavour. Ordered a side of Greek fries and just received fries. Would never eat here again & would not recommend.

Used to come all the time. Had at least over 100 gyros here. Was fantastic.

Seems like new ownership now has ruined it and unfortunately won’t come back.

1. Ridiculously slow. 11 minutes for a chicken on a pita. Guy didn’t seem to know where anything was. Only order ahead of me was Greek fries and she was waiting longer than me.

2. Smaller portion. Seems about 1/2 the chicken they used to give on a pita.

3. Chicken was burnt. Had to ask to please not include the burnt chicken.

4. Guy making it had gloves on but was grabbing everything in the kitchen, handles, cash, etc with the gloves. Went downstairs to get another bag of fries with the gloves in. Not sanitary.

5. Taste. Nothing like it was.

Too bad, this place was amazing for many years. No longer.

Ordered chicken gyro on rice. The chicken was rock hard and not tasty at all. Rice was okay. The only reason I gave a 2 was because the service was decent. Never going back though. Quality of the chicken was unforgivable.

I’ve been coming here for 22 years and watched the quality go down every year. Really disappointing. Never ordering again.
