Shawarma Ali Baba's - Bloor West Village

Stopped in to,pick up lunch yesterday. Was offers a sample of delicious lentil soup while waiting. Mentioned my family was waiting in the car and was given samples for them as well. The food we purchased was delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend this location and only come to this Ali Baba’s for that reason.

Amazing place I’ve been coming to for over 20 years. Gives you Shawarma that taste like it’s made with genuine hair and actual flavor. They do not cheap out on the extras and everything is very fresh. This is a great lunch spot, just make sure you don’t come when the schools are on lunch. Mohammed was amazing this time!

Great vibe! Tunes, spits of beef and chicken rotating, killer lentil soup shots for all customers. Generous portions. Love this local favourite in BWV.

This place is nasty. Dirty floors and tables, soggy food, and a hair in my meal. I also saw behavior in the kitchen that made me immediately lose my appetite. Completely unacceptable and unsafe. To add on to this disgusting behaviour one of the employees child “Karem” was outside throwing rocks at special needs children, The actions committed inside the restaurant and outside are unacceptable. Do not eat here.

This place has turned into a complete nuisance. The music is blasted at an absurd volume with doors and windows wide open, flooding the entire block with noise. It shows a total disregard for the surrounding community and basic public decency. If you can’t operate without disturbing everyone around you, you shouldn’t be operating at all.

For the love of all things Falafel, please find an app or go directly to Falafel World at Jane + Bloor. THE worst Falafel I have had in 49 years. A tortilla wrap used instead of pita bread or even naan (if need be). Falafel balls that were like mush. I have eaten Falafels all over Toronto. Also, in NYC, LA and San Fran. This was truly inedible it was SO dreadful. Falafel World is the best place in all of Toronto for Falafels. They weren't on the Skip app and I paid the price. Support a local Mom + Pop rather than this chain churning out slop.

Absolutely delicious food — authentic, rich in flavor, and perfectly cooked. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, making the whole experience feel warm and personal. One of my favorite Middle Eastern spots!I’ll definitely be back!
