I had an amazing first experience at Alcoe Place in Parliament! I was with my man and couple of my co-worker. The vibe was incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. Alice Place is hands down the best spot for karaoke. Pablito, the DJ, was fantastic—such a fun and talented guy with an incredible voice. I had an absolute blast! Plus, their fries and chicken wings are absolutely delicious!
I'll say the quiet part out loud: It's a local dive bar.
There's FOUR fried food options: Wings, chicken fingers, fish, all with fries, and Coconut Shrimp. The $17 wings came dry with no veggies, or any type of sauce (on the side or on top). Don't expect a cocktail menu.

Friday night karaoke. Cozy bar. Bottled beer came in at $6.50 and a pint was $8.75.
The service itself was good.
I'd come back with friends, but not alone again. My advice: Don't fraternitize with the some of the regulars cause some 'em are full-on nutcases. The crowd reminded me a lot of the bar from Shameless.
