Hands down the best beef patty I’ve had in a while. The pastry was super fluffy, and the filling was really tasty – warm, flavorful, and just hit the spot. Definitely coming back for more!

Wha’appen? I was away for too long and when I came back… I don’t wish the new owners bad luck, but the last true example of a great Jamaican patty in Scarborough is gone. No more perfectly baked, flaky crust. Instead a doughy, somewhat greasy one. I tried a veggie, goat and beef, none of them were of the old standard. Times change and things move on. This is one customer who also will be moving on. (To the original owners, thank you for years of great West Indian delights!)

EXTREMELY Disappointed! I bought as you can see a box of dozen. All I can say is this is disgusting to see people paying and what they’re getting out of this place! Allens pastry shop they should be embarrassed and ashamed to be serving the public these kind of beef patties. Have a look at the pictures you tell me.They were thin as paper as far as the filling was concerned.and not filling the whole patty at all. As you can see around the edges it’s completely dry!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!! AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!! ALAN’S PASTRY SHOP IT’S TIME TO CLOSE THE DOORS!!! You’re a disgrace to the Jamaican community!!!

Still looking for the filling. If I wanted a box of patty crust I’d have asked for that. You can’t call what they are selling a patty. It need actual filling or it just tastes like dry patty crust. Not impressed at all !!!!!

Great Patties at a reasonable price. Too bad it is a 45 minute one way journey, but it's worth it.

Bought a box of warm curry goat patties. Unfortunately the quality assurance wasn't great. Some patties were great while 5 of the patties in the box literally had no meat and also had more crust re: pocket where meat would have been vs parts outside of that. I like Allen's but this was disappointing. Tbis is why I gave a 3 star. 1 star would be too low for a place I like...but need to make sure.all patties need meat....

Bought some spicy beef patties, very disappointed. The pastry was too buttery/fatty - felt very heavy. There was a lack of meat, very chinsy. The ratio was way off and unfortunately I didn’t enjoy these patties at all. I will stick to my usual brand instead, thought a change up would be nice but now I’ve been thrown off.

Should have known something was up when I pulled in at 2pm and nobody was in the store. That was strange, this place is usually packed. Not knowing about new ownership, I bought a dozen spicy patties only to find minimal meat and zero spice in all of them.After checking recent reviews I can confirm they are all true! Never again.
