Allen's is a classic, the food and the service is always very good. The noise level is high when they are packed but quiets down when the crowds thin out.

So I love cooking Thanksgiving dinner and eating it but wasn't possible this year. Allen's version was as close to a homemade meal I could imagine. Everything was delicious and the portions were what you would do at home when you love turkey like me! Whenever I can't cook again, I will be there. And may go back for US Thanksgiving next month!

There are many restaurants around this joint. It looks like any other pub around it. Found it by chance as we were working just around from it. The menu is small but every dish rocks. Huge selection of drinks. Very friendly staff. The dishes we had were amazing and we visited it for lunch twice. Will visit again

I love Allen's. The staff is so nice and they have great food. Don't skip dessert. My only quibble is that I always have a reservation and always get the worst table near the kitchen. My reservations tend to be early because I'm seeing a show at the music hall next door. I can ask for a better table, and I'm going to next time but that kind of request isn't usually met with a great response. It would be nice to have something better offered.

Allen's is a neighborhood institution. Always a favorite for occasions or casual dinners, the food is superb. The lamb shank with mashed pototoes was delicious, and the burgers are consistently fabulous! The rosemary polenta fries w/aoli is a treat. We love sitting at the bar for a drink, in one of the cozy booths, or on the patio (the best one in the city imho).

Oct. 4th evening on the patio! Perfectly attentive server. Food and drinks came in good time. Pub fare (meals you would expect to find at a pub) were very generously portioned and tasty, non-traditional pub meals were fine. Ambiance casual and relaxed. Very good experience EVERY TIME.
Just had a delicious meal and it was made absolutely perfect by a young woman with a lovely Irish lilt in her voice. She noticed I had a balance issue and led me to a more accessible bathroom. A very positive experience all round. The server was also pleasant and helpful.

We have been coming to Allen's as a group for many years, we think your patio is the best in the city. Last night, we dined indoors and our waitress was fantastic. Unfortunately, the bone in steak not so much. Three people in our party ordered it, and they were all significantly rare. First time this has happened to us, but considering the dish is $60 a piece, it would've been appreciated to at least have one or a couple of the steaks taken off our bill. This is not the waitresses fault, but the establishment should've covered it given how very rare they were. It was as if the steaks had barely touched the burner. Hopefully this feedback is valuable for your kitchen and your restaurant manager.

Our orders arrived when we wanted it, plenty of time to enjoy a drink and a chat prior to. The food was as described and plentiful. Our server was attentive and made recommendations when asked. We had a great experience and we will be back.

Hello my friends! Hope everyone is keeping well I decided to write a review of one of my all time favourite haunts for more than thirty years ! Allens …In my opinion is another ‘home away from home’ for me.-the owners are amazing ! Whenever I enter this special place, ,I’m always highly regarded and ALWAYS ,ALWAYS greeted with an embrace and such incredible kindness and warmth.
I feel like a celebrity when I arrive from the owner (chef) host and bartender to the wonderful servers it’s a wonderful feeling.!!
Once seated at my favourite table, I start off with an ice cold beer or glass of white wine then the selections are all so delectable . Over the years I think I’ve tried most of the menu, but my favourites are Caesar salad for starters and then either’ the best Burger in the city, ‘thick fries( they have thin fries also)
I love that you can order your burger medium rare , medium well done It’s sirloin no antibiotics so fresh each and every time!
My other choices are the fish and chips and when I decide I deserve an extra special treat, I fall for the New York steak or filet mignon ,baked potato ,asparagus of course a glass of wine ,if there’s room usually there is I like the rhubarb baked in a crock ;it’s been favourite of mine forever topped with a La mode( vanilla ice cream) I wish I was there now as I’m writing this review lol!

Next time you don’t know where to go for any celebration I just celebrate everyday no special occasion ( my Late Mom’s Motto)
