Patio is gorgeous. Service was absolutely incredible. One of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. Our server was attentive and organized. He provided guidance with the menu, and made great suggestions.
The food & service at Allen's were top notch. We had a burger and a teriyaki sirloin and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection in both cases. Vegetables fresh and delicious. Our waiter was kind and fast - no nonsense but friendly. Note to the noise sensitive - check for loud rock/punk shows at the Danforth Music Hall close by if you plan to sit outside. This is to no fault of the restaurant as they do warn you before seating you outside if there is a show happening.

We got a drink at the bar-good list, not a big assortment of zero proof to choose from.The burger was a hit- made to order, you can get cooked any way you like. The beef stew honestly was a bit lackluster but perhaps it was an off day.Service was good, atmosphere, as mentioned, was great.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options! Typical pub fare.

Awesome Chicken wings! right up there with the smoked wings at the Breakwall BBQ (Queen St in the Beach), in my opinion they are second best wings on the east side.

Allen's is a great restaurant with diverse Canadian fare. The Service was terrific, the food was good, the ambiance was great although a bit on the loud side but could still enjoy a chat. Prices were good.

Nice selection of beers and mains. The grilled halibut was outstanding (but small portion); the olive slaw and collard greens were a great match. Ate inside and on a Sunday evening it was full and relatively noisy. Service was great.

Yet another fantastic evening at Allen's! It's wonderful to see them so busy, which is why I find it essential to make a reservation. My friends and I had a great table, with excellent food & drinks, and outstanding service. Even though the place was packed and our server was tending to many tables, she always had time for us and never made us feel rushed or neglected. I keep coming back to Allen's again and again for a reason! I look forward to my next visit!!! 10/10 across the board!!! :D

Another lovely experience at Allen's to celebrate a friend's birthday. Jason was our server and in addition to our main course he offered us each a serving of their homemade Irish sida bread. Delicious. He was both pleasant and efficient. We also enjoyed meeting Marita, the hostess who made our visit special.

Consistently my favourite dining experience over my 6 years living here. I always brought family and friends (both from Toronto and visitors) to experience the uniquely Toronto pairing of excellent and deeply flavoured Irish pub food AND Chef Viji's Sri Lankan curries. I will forever miss being so close to such a perfect burger and the Galway chowder. The service and community atmosphere has always been spot-on. Also, the best patio in the city. Thank you for the memories Allens and special thanks to Suresh Doss's writing that first brought me here.

Allen's was a perfect spot for a birthday celebration with friends. It is cozy and welcoming, the service gracious and attentive and the food is delicious. The restaurant was also understanding that the reservation was for fewer people as there were cancellations at the last moment. I look forward to going back soon!

Been coming for 40 years. Has never disappointed. Always worth the trip. Food variety, quality, presentation and serving always good. Fair pricing. The patio, when the weather allows is a treasure. IF you're hard of hearing, it can be noisy and difficult to enjoy a conversation. It's not the music level; it's just a lot of people having fun together. Who can complain about that!
