ALMA+GIL Reviews
Great kombucha - fresh flavours, like a sip of summer. The new themed dinners are fantastic - New Year's Eve dinner was excellent, perfect portion for two and delicious hearty foods.
The Sandra is my favourite! The hibiscus makes it like I'm drinking juice with all the benefits of kombucha. Delicious and refreshing. All flavours from Alma and Gil are really unique and not your typical kombucha.
Super refreshing, packed full of flavour! None of that watered down stuff from those other guys.

ALMA+GIL is a small restaurant with limited seating, primarily focused on take-out and grab-and-go orders. The menu offers a variety of breakfast sandwiches, including the popular avocado and pork belly option, as well as the egg sandwich. The Hong Kong milk tea is a standout, providing great flavor and an eco-friendly glass flask option. The food is generally delicious, with the avocado sandwich being a highlight. Customers have also enjoyed dishes like the sorrowful rice, which features Chinese BBQ pork paired with rice, veggies, and a fried egg, inspired by a Stephen Chow film but surprisingly good and not gimmicky. The chicken parmesan sando is another favorite, with a lightly toasted brioche bun, tender chicken, flavorful tomato sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, and a sprinkle of basil, though it can be messy to eat. The restaurant has a dinner menu and a rotating special of the day that comes with coffee or tea. While portions may be on the smaller side and prices a bit high, the overall quality makes it worth it. The restaurant is small, take-out only, with limited hours, so ordering ahead is recommended to avoid waiting. Customers have described the service as great, with the owner being enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Toronto food scene.
