Almond Butterfly Bistro Reviews
Found Almond Butterfly Bistro online after searching for a gluten free restaurant near princess of wales theatre. Attended for dinner and was so pleased with the service and the food! Although a little pricey, which is to be expected with gluten free foods, it was delicious and worth it! Only my 5 year old has celiac, but the rest of the family eats gluten and boasted about how delicious the food was and that they couldn’t even tell it was gluten free! Unbelievable. Was in the area for a conference and searched some gluten free options. This place is gold. By far the best food I’ve ever eaten. We had the onion rings, mac and cheese, fish and chips, chocolate chip cookie, and apple crumble and I left feeling awful but because I ate it all 😂. My husband just kept repeating “I can’t believe this is gluten free” and “we need to tell everyone” 😂😂
I was absolutely impressed by this little Bistro! The ambiance was so adorable and the food was amazing. The best fish and chips I've ever had. You wouldn't even know everything was GF. My celiac friend was very impressed, and I was glad to know flavour was not compromised! Would 100% recommend and will be back.

The Almond Butterfly Bistro is a hidden gem in Toronto, offering a menu that is entirely gluten-free, catering to those with gluten sensitivities. The food is praised for its deliciousness, with standouts like the classic breakfast plate, iced strawberry matcha special, cheese melt, and apple crumble cheesecake. The baked goods are divine, and the portions are generous, though some find the flatbread a bit too crispy. The bistro offers a variety of savory dishes and decadent pastries, with the cafe location having more sweets. While it can get crowded during brunch, the service is excellent, and the food is worth the slightly higher prices. Kid-friendly options like chicken fingers and mac and cheese make it a great spot for families.
Recent reviews highlight the good variety of choices and substantial serving sizes. Despite a large group, orders were prepared quickly, and the staff was attentive and pleasant. The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. As a newly gluten-intolerant couple, they found the staff reassuring, and the food was perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and generously portioned. The warm, inviting atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience. Visitors appreciated the gluten-free options that taste just as good as regular food, with many enjoying brunch, lunch, and drinks like espresso martinis. The atmosphere and attentive service make it a great place to visit again when in Toronto.
