Such a great gluten free spot in Toronto. Their gluten free food tastes amazing and not gluten free at all. There are so many options it is almost overwhelming (in a good way). Their baked goods are divine!! It’s not the basic gluten free options other places have, they are much more elevated and decadent. Another big plus - you can bring your non-gluten free friends and they will also enjoy their meal. The only thing I don’t love is that it is a bit crowded and crammed especially during brunch time. I would still come back next time (and the time after next!).

The prices aren't accurate on the menus. The server was very rude, the food was served cold, and flavorless. The potatoes were hard and dry, the eggs tasted microwaved, also the bacon. Also never got the side I got charged for. Also I was supposed to get two pancakes with the breakfast and only got one. They will treat you *TERRIBLE* if you are a tourist. Its a scam.

i hate to leave a negative review because what this restaurant is doing is so important for people with celiac disease…but my burger was so bad… 😭😭 the bun was really hard which i could forgive because it is gluten free, but the patty was so dry and had no taste at all. the matcha i got was fantastic though! just a shame that we waited for over an hour for food that wasn’t that great 😞 will come back again because this is one of the only restaurants my friend can eat at, but i definitely will not be getting the burger again.

Since I chose to be gluten-free, this was the first gluten free place that caught my eyes. Last picture is from a cafe on Harbord street and the rest are from Bistro on Dundas.

I loved the bread they use here. I ordered a cheese melt. It was so cheesy and buttery. Also look how much fries they put! I shared it with my friend at the end haha. The flatbread wasn’t as I expected to be. The dough was a bit hard and crispy. It was more like crackers.

The coffee here was good too and the apple crumble cheesecake, it was delicious. I mean the apple, caramel, crumbs and cheese, it cannot go wrong with these combinations. I’d definitely come back for more food.
Next time, I want to try their pancakes.

Their cafe doesn’t have as much savory food as the bistro does, but more pastries. Personally, I would say I like their savory food than sweets, however they have a variety of different pastries to choose from.

Found Almond Butterfly Bistro online after searching for a gluten free restaurant near princess of wales theatre. Attended for dinner and was so pleased with the service and the food! Although a little pricey, which is to be expected with gluten free foods, it was delicious and worth it! Only my 5 year old has celiac, but the rest of the family eats gluten and boasted about how delicious the food was and that they couldn’t even tell it was gluten free! Although they don’t have a kids menu, they have some kid friendly options like chicken fingers and Mac and cheese! Portions are a nice size though, so my youngest two were able to split the Mac n cheese and still have leftovers. Would recommend!

I was diagnosed with Celiac a year ago and the hardest part for me is feeling inconvenient when trying to eat out. My sister and I were in Toronto for Taylor Swift and knowing we’d be eating out a lot I pre-googled gluten free restaurants before we arrived and found this sweet little spot. Arriving, seeing how fulsome and delicious the menu is and having that moment of realization that I could eat anything I wanted to — I felt normal for the first time in a year! It was actually my birthday too, and our server made a point to bring over a cupcake with a candle. Your business has created something special for people like me, and I can’t thank you enough for the experience. Unfortunately, I don’t live close, but I know I will be back next time I’m in Toronto. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing! The food was so good, the onion rings are divine and my friend loved the Mac and cheese. The paper crane drink was delicious and the staff were so kind. They were very accommodating to my other numerous food allergies. 100/10 if I lived in the area I’d go all the time.

Tasty food, large portions, and friendly service. My friend and I came for brunch and we really enjoyed the traditional breakfast. I liked the lavender lemonade.

We went on a Sunday at 12 pm and it was very busy. Brunch reservations are highly recommended on weekends and holidays.

Update: I came back for brunch with my fiancé. I loved the chai latte. The pumpkin pancakes were delicious, fluffy, light, and gluten-free! Although they were a bit too sweet for me, I still really liked them.

We showed up without a reservation and were super lucky there was a cancellation.

Service was very friendly and fast.

Fiancee and I got the Pumpkin Pancakes and they were absolutely delicious. The pumpkin flavor was not overwhelming and the maple butter really enhanced the flavors. Strongly recommend getting it. If you're going for brunch in the fall.

I love this place. I tend to visit whenever I need to enjoy a good GF meal. Unfortunately, yesterday I almost broke my tooth when I bit on a date seed inside the cookie.
