From the moment we arrived, the team delivered warm, polished, and attentive service. The Wagyu was unbelievably tender and richly flavored; the lobster arrived fresh. Every course arrived at just the right pace, allowing us to fully enjoy each bite. Though elegant, the dining room felt inviting—not stuffy. Overall, the services and environment was much more impressive than the foods.
We’ve been meaning to visit Alo—the original, Michelin-starred mothership—for quite some time. When my foodie friend was visiting out of country, I thought it was the perfect opportunity. I’d already enjoyed meals at its sister spots, Aloette next door with family (which offers plenty of halal options) and Alobar in the Financial District. Both were excellent, but the experience at Alo’s bar tables—just beside the main bar, was also very special.

One of the greatest meals we’ve ever had in our lives. Not a single bad course, and service was as good as it gets.
Very French influenced, so the only “negative” is that I personally am good with foie gras once and didn’t think it needed to be involved in more than one course. Otherwise everything was fantastic and the perfect amount of volume to quality. We’d definitely come back when the menu rotates for another special occasion.
