Very solid all around dining experience. Quite pricey for mediterranean cuisine but overall an outstanding experience.
I recently dined at Amal Toronto and it was truly a 10/10 experience. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful — upscale, warm, and perfect for a special night out. The food was outstanding, full of flavor and beautifully presented. What truly made the night exceptional, though, was our server, Alan. He went above and beyond from start to finish. He took the time to understand what my girlfriend and I enjoy and recommended dishes that were perfectly suited to our taste. Every suggestion was spot on. To top it off, he even helped curate a custom drink for me that wasn't on the menu — and it was incredible. That level of attentiveness, creativity, and genuine care for the guest experience is rare. Alan didn't just serve us — he elevated the entire evening. Thank you, Alan and his team, for making our night unforgettable.
Another amazing experience at Amal! First time for brunch and it was spectacular! Food and service impeccable!
Another amazing experience at Amal. Was there for a date - they arranged a cozy table in a corner for us, the food, cocktails and service was fantastic and made for a memorable first date. Looking forward to returning.
I've been there a few times but this last time, we were waiting for more than 10 minutes on the table and no one went to welcome us and give us at Keats water. Usually service is good but this last time pretty bad service at the beginning, until we complained with the manager in charge.
Delicious
Food was excellent! Very expensive but it’s Yorkville so I guess par for the course. Service was ok and it was very loud inside but beautiful! Great place to go for a special occasion

Amal committed a cardinal sin with my group: overcooking the lamb racks. I consider lamb to be the star of the show for this style of cuisine. We complained and it was sent back and came back overcooked. It's challenging to review this restaurant positively as a result. The atmosphere is great and most of the other dishes were palettable.

We had a wonderful family dinner at Amal Toronto and everything exceeded our expectations. We started with the mixed appetizer plate (hummus, labneh, and muhammara) served with freshly made pita bread—everything was delicious, but the muhammara was by far the best I’ve ever had. We also ordered the Manouche bi Lahme (meat pie), which was incredibly flavourful and perfectly prepared, as well as the shakshouka, which was nicely spiced and very satisfying. For our entrées, the mixed grill platter truly impressed us with its quality and taste. The refreshing drinks were a great finishing touch. The service was excellent—attentive, warm, and professional throughout our visit. An excellent dining experience all around—highly recommended!

Fairly disappointing food for the price. The chicken tawook was very dry. The medium rare lamb chop was cooked beyond medium. The food would be impressive if it cost half as much -- but does not meet expectations for how pretentious the restaurant is. The service was average, and the ambience was meh.

The ambiance was beautiful, but unfortunately the food did not live up to the price for me.
They allow online reservations at 2:30 PM; however, since they prepare for dinner service, last call is at 2:45 PM. This gives very little time to look at the menu and place an order, and we felt rushed. I don’t think reservations should be offered so close to last call.
We ordered the baked salmon, which mentioned potatoes on the menu, but none were served. The salmon appeared to be smoked and raw, which was not what we expected—we were anticipating a baked, boneless fillet. We took one bite and left the dish untouched. 0/10.
The BBQ meat combo had good flavor, but the portion size felt small for the price. The fries were the highlight. 6.5/10.
We also ordered the shakshouka, which was decent. 7/10.
My friend ordered another dish (I can’t recall the name), which was just okay. 5/10.
For drinks, we ordered two watermelon mocktails. At $15 each, they were not worth the price or taste. 0/10.
Overall, the ambiance was great, but the prices were high and the flavors did not match the cost. I left feeling disappointed and rushed.
