A friendly greeting, thoughtful wine suggestions, and delicious food, in a cozy atmosphere within walking distance from Union Station. The bolognese and risotto were fantastic—the perfect pre-holiday meeting place, and we'll be back!
I recently dined at Amano Trattoria and it was a fantastic experience. The pasta was definitely the highlight—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. I was also really impressed by the service; our server was attentive without being overbearing, making sure we had everything we needed.

Had the pleasure of a 2nd visit to this fabulous restaurant. Olivia's service was bright, cheery and warm. Paired with a welcoming atmosphere its easy to fall in love with is place... the food and cocktails were delicious. Compliment it with a Soulpepper stage show ( a short walk away) and you will head home well entertained...

Great experience! Everything is delicious - the truffle pasta and Bolognese is a staple. They have a seasonal menu but I’ve never had anything that disappointed.

Mauro, our server, was very attentive but not intrusive. He made some excellent recommendations, and gave us some insights into the pastry chef and told us about The Berczy’s music and ambiance as well.

Went to Amano Trattoria for dinner after seeing the musical “We will Rock You”. Had later reservations but restaurant was able to accommodate us at an earlier time. We both had the Rigatoni Alla Bolognese. Was wonderful. And their freshly baked bread was great.
Good food and service. Interesting menu. Had arancini, pizza and sort rib. All very good. Will be back
Great food and great service! Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff took our order quickly and checked in often to make sure we were enjoying everything. The appetizers were delicious, and the pasta portions were generous and easy to share.
Delicious Italian in a smart, chic atmosphere.
Was impressed with the pasta cooked perfectly al dente on well portioned plates. The ravioli was amazing, the lobster wasn’t fishy, it tasted fresh and light, whilst the bolognese was rich and comforting in contrast. The truffle pasta was flavorful and luxurious, but the burrata salad in particular was so excellent, we ordered it twice. The frozen lemon meringue was creative, with a beautiful contrast in textures and temperature.
We were served by Dev. Despite the restaurant being full at dinner time, we never felt rushed, and we felt very well taken of. Had the pleasure of meeting the manager as well. It’s easy to tell that his thoughtfulness, care, and professionalism — not just with his customers, but also the staff — establishes a standard of service you would expect at an “elevated night out” restaurant like this. Appreciate the great dining experience and will be sure to come back.
