What an amazing meal!!!
I walked into Amato Gyro and was instantly loving it. Super clean, a few cute tables & chairs to eat at, then I saw the gorgeous presentation of food in their display. A plethora of perfect looking samosas, in every variety. Delicious, juicy-looking quarter-chickens. Fresh marinated fish filets. A bunch of other yummy dishes. Rows of fresh baklava.
I ordered a $9.99 Chicken Shawarma surprise bag. It wasn’t until I arrived that Jumman began preparing my food, so I knew it was freshly made. He placed the chicken on the grill with some onions & green cabbage/bean sprouts mix. After that, Jumman filled my to-go-box with a huge portion of saffron rice. Then he offered me all the fixings - lettuce, tomatoes, grilled pink cabbage, tabbouleh, raw onions, pickled turnips, cornichon pickles, hummus, tahini, hot sauce and garlic sauce.
Somewhere in between, the chicken shawarma mix was added to the bed of rice…
The final result was, bar none, the best tasting chicken shawarma I’ve EVER HAD!!!

We have used this platform many times before, and usually for $10 you get a good and generous portion. This time, the portion and quality were very disappointing and far below expectations.
Based on our experience and comparison with previous orders on TooGood2Go, this offer was not fair. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

What a hidden gem. They have great deals going on if you’re looking to feed 2+ people. I went in solo, got a chicken shawarma that tasted amazing, and had a nice conversation with the staff. The place is clean, had some seating, and is friendly and affordable. I will definitely be coming back and bringing some friends!

Stopped by for their 2 year anniversary 2 shawarma for $10 deal, so glad I did! Fresh, delicious toppings, the place was very clean (honestly hard to come by at some shawarma spots, huge win). The gentleman who helped us was super kind, friendly, and made the experience even better.
I would definitely come back, also to try their other items!

Tasty! I was a little apprehensive that the place was empty, but I lucked out finding this eatery. Gyro wrap was quite tasty...had a variety of sauces on it that were all good. Fries were hot and crispy. Service was very friendly. Only a few small tables for eating in.

I visited this place for the first time in hopes of wanting to try some new places, and I was happily surprised at finding this hidden gem.
The man running the restaurant was an absolutely sweetheart, you can tell her puts his heart and soul into his meal preparation and customer service towards this restaurant.
We tried the Gyro’s with all the toppings and light spice. It was exceptional and definitely the spot for our cravings. The food is so fresh and delicious. The food is definitely made with love and care.
We will definitely be returning to this restaurant to try some more food items!

Very clean shop, which is always a plus. I ordered a small gyro plate and the container was barely half full. An inch of rice, a few veggies, and maybe 4oz of meat for $14? I couldn't believe it when I picked up the box and felt how light it was. There is another shawarma place a bit further north that will fill the box for the same price. A complete rip-off.
