I tried this due to the high ratings. While the portion is generous, the fish quality is only supermarket/foodcourt level. Stick with the rolls where there's tons of sauce and seasoning. Skip the nigiri where the tasteless fish is front and centre.

This place is phenomenal! Firstly, it’s the best sushi in the area. Not by a little but by a long shot! Trust me. Just try it. But also, the staff are amazing. I made a mistake by ordering something that I’m allergic to and they fixed it for me with a smile. Super kind of them because it was entirely my fault. I love this place

I recently ordered their chirashi bowl, and let me tell you, it was an absolute bang for your buck. The moment I opened the box, I was genuinely impressed. It was literally brimming with fresh fish, a true testament to their generous portions. Every bit of the bowl was packed, making for an incredibly satisfying meal.
Beyond the impressive quantity of fish, the seasoned rice beneath it was a standout. It was perfectly prepared, with just the right amount of vinegar and a subtle sweetness that complemented the fresh sashimi beautifully. It wasn't just a vehicle for the fish; it was a delicious component of the dish itself. If you appreciate a substantial amount of high-quality fish and well-executed rice in your chirashi, ami-no is the place to go. You won't leave hungry!

However, can we please stop being okay with clunky sushi rolls?? They're not supposed to be hella thick where I'm going to choke on the thing if I put it all in my mouth. It's supposed to be an all-in-one bite so you get the full experience of all the flavours together. I don't want to have to bite it, or look like a pig when bits are falling out of my mouth as I try and work through it. It's a delicate type of food. If I wanted that experience I'd go have a burger. Finess, people, finess!! Too many places are making them like this. (Note: part of the reason this roll was so chonky was because there was about 50% cuke to 50% the rest of the stuff, so like, it didn't even have to be like this!)
I'd try a bowl or sushi with just the rice with the fish draped on top next time, but I will not be getting a roll again.
