Craving for premium craft beer? Come and enjoy at Amsterdam. Vibrant and classic interior design with wine shelves and joyful fireplace in the middle of diner. Only one thing I wish for is more selections of food menu. However, baby back ribs(bbq) and the burger were satisfying~~^^

Food was great. Loved the 3 beer fish and chips. Our server was not on top of her game. She did not inform us that the kitchen closes at 9:30 pm and then after we asked to get the bill so that we could leave they made an exception to feed us.

Went for dinner with family today and was immediately welcomed by the host when we arrived. We were seated quickly by Ariel and served by Georgia. We were lucky enough to get sat near the fireplace! Ordered the fish and chips with an 3speed and was pleasantly surprised by the combination. Loved the fish batter! Food and service were great. Definitely would come back again with friends.

We were there for lunch and it was not too busy. The waitress took our drink order which seemed to take some time to get to us. The blonde beer was excellent. The food was good and tasty.
The waitress came to get our dessert order and left without clearing the table. We had to ask to have the table cleared.

KNOWN FOR THEIR BRISKET!!!
Amsterdam Barrel House is located in Leaside. It’s part of a plaza with other well known eateries. It’s a warm and inviting place to dine in. A different vibe than their other restaurant location at Harbourfront by Lake Ontario. The clientele is mostly consist of families. Couples who want a more dimmer setting should sit closer to the bar area. There’s a stair leading to the second floor. I have never been upstairs so I can’t comment on it. They have an outdoor dining area that was highly used during the pandemic.
I have been here during lunch and dinner time including corporate events where the whole first floor is closed to the public. They can provide a long coat rack to hang one’s jacket. They have a microphone to provide if needed. They allow musicians to perform during those catered events.
When you dine here, you need to order their 12 hours Smoked Beef Brisket Dinner or Sandwich. The Brisket Dinner comes with fried potatoes, coleslaw and cheesy corn bread.
I had their fish and chips (beer battered haddock) and their Stone Baked Pizzas before. They were quite good too, but the star is their Brisket.
They accept cash, debit and credit card for payment. Washrooms are located on the main floor close to their kitchen.
Parking: During peak hours it’s difficult to find parking close to the restaurant. But there’s tons near Longos.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids at the time of visit. Friday Dinner time. During lunch time, the clientele were mostly adults.

Wheelchair accessibility: The table was near a walkway and close to the washroom for easy wheelchair access.
Restaurant is wheelchair accessible, although the washroom door is not automated - opens towards the washroom so it's easier to get to the washroom than it is to get out.

Great spot for a bite and a few brews. The food was wonderful, as was the service. Our beers were great as well.
Only 4 of 5 stars because the washroom entrance doors did not have the buttons to open the doors. There are accessible stalls, though.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair entrance but no wheelchair button for the bathrooms. There are wheelchair stalls, though.

Average food, but could be nice for a drink in the area given the lack of other choices.

I had the Brewer's Cheeseburger. It was excellent. They should have a better selection of ciders though.

The restaurant’s design was excellent, providing a great atmosphere. However, the service was quite average, and the food menu lacked variety. We ordered a classic pizza and a burger, but both were burnt on the bottom. Additionally, we ordered a Blond beer, but the bill charged us for something else that was $1 more expensive. While we didn’t raise a complaint, we were disappointed with the overall experience and won’t be returning.

We had a fabulous time. We ordered an app out of the gate - guac and chips (something quick) bc our group was hungry and it was likely forgotten - bc we had to ask about it - and it was out in 1 min. Not a big deal but that describes the 4 stars
Had the fish tacos and they were amazing! Our server, Chelsea, was also very friendly and made it a great lunch dining experience!
