The food here is fantastic! We ordered the crab cakes, calamari and cauliflower bites to share and the portion sizes were perfect. The crab cakes were especially good! The service here is also exceptional, super-friendly and overall good vibes.

One of my favourite restaurants in Toronto - food and service are always 10/10, menu is very reasonably priced and its family owned.
Must haves are the poutine, calamari, fish tacos, and obviously the fish and chips. Can't go wrong here :)

My boyfriend and I came here for a date night, it’s been on our radar for a while and finally got to come in. We totally loved it, we had zero complaints. The service was great, very friendly and relaxed.
We got two cocktails which were good.
We got two apps to share, first was calamari. It was great, really loved the red pepper sauce to go along side it, added a nice fresh flavour.
Secondly was the crab cakes, we loved them. Super fantastic and will be going back for them.
Then we got an order of fish and chips to share for a main, which also was just super great. Honestly zero competition for anything.
We’ll be going back for sure.

Anglr has to be the gem of Leslieville and even of Toronto! Their food is outstanding, especially if you love seafood. Crab cakes to die for, calamari that I think about on the daily, and of course their fish and chips. Best part is that so many of their batters can be made gluten free for anyone with dietary restrictions (im not gluten free but thought this was really unique!) and also lots of vegetarian options.
Their seafood is bought fresh and the owners are just the sweetest. Two brothers, Chad and Tate, and their mom. The most pleasant people, including their other staff that make you feel like family. The back patio is such a great hidden spot for a summertime lunch/dinner. I’ve gone here for a few years and will continue to keep supporting them and enjoying every bite of my food. You’re the best Anglr!!
Fav dishes: crab cakes, calamari, brussels sprouts, korean salad, fish and chips. And if you have a sweet tooth, the deep fried oreo for dessert hits the spot every time!

Fish and chips were okay but I ordered a pickup and no ketchup, salt, or cutlery was offered nor in the bag and I only found out when I got back to my destination. I regret having tipped considering the food is already expensive and the lack of basic offerings weren’t provided with the meal.

Crab cakes are a must! The shrimp burger is creative, an Asian fusion concept to me, as it reminds me of the shrimp cakes in dim sum places

If you decide to serve oysters, take it very seriously. You are serving a raw food and the kitchen and servers need to be very aware and vigilant of spoilage. I have been served the occasional bad oyster in other restaurants but never an entire plate - the smell was terrible and instantly removed any confidence we had in your kitchen. Also, when a table orders a bottle of wine, you need to open in front of the table - not at the bar. That’s standard professional practice.

I couldn’t recommend this place enough, especially for my fellow celiacs! My fiancé and I have been meaning to come here for forever and finally did, my only regret is that we didn’t go sooner! The food was delicious, the service exceptional, and the vibes were great!

The restaurant is small so definitely make a reservation. We went for a girls' night out and felt welcome immediately. We were given advice about favourites, ordered them and thoroughly enjoyed them. Service was attentive but not invasive. We didn't feel rushed and staff was appreciative. We would definitely go again and recommend to others.
