Unbelievable vegan venue, can’t believe this was my first time / won’t be my last! Loved everything about it:-)

Food was pretty good, especially the croissant. It was a bit difficult to find the restaurant and get into the building. The table next to us was having high tea which looked amazing, I would come back for that. Menu was fairly diverse for a cafe and well priced.

My sisters and I dined here for lunch. It is an extremely small space and can probably only accommodate 3-4 tables at a time. It is very difficult to find, with limited signage on Broadview. You have to buzz into the building, but the instructions are not totally accurate. While we were sitting, we watched many people struggle to buzz in. They appear to only have 1 printed menu for all patrons in the restaurant to share, which is difficult. I had the chickpea wrap with potatoes. The wrap was ok - really not much to write home about. Potatoes were good, but the sauce served with them was weirdly sweet and unappetizing. Ketchup was delish but I think it's the same ketchup that you can get anywhere. Service was pretty limited despite not having many tables and we couldn't find our server to pay at the end. Overall I would come here in a pinch but wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again. Price was right!

We made a rare trip into TO on the weekend and decided to take advantage of being there and looked for an all-vegan restaurant for Sunday Brunch. We couldn't have been happier with our choice! The staff were all so very friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic! We enjoyed the Eggs Benny on a croissant and the Jackfruit Shwarma. Our friends let us taste the Smoky Vegan Mac & Cheese they ordered too. As you can see from the photo, our plate was very colourful and enticing. We enjoyed our brunch so much we ordered a smoked "meat" sandwich and an almond croissant to go and they were both incredible! Thank you ALK for such a delicious brunch!

Highly recommend booking the High Tea on Saturdays! A great variety of sweet and savory foods (chocolate hazelnut and baklava croissants not pictured) - everything is delicious (and priced fairly), especially the flaky croissants! The owners are so nice too :)

What a charming little vegan cafe! Stopped in while visiting the Distillery district & wanted vegan brunch! The vegan breakfast croissant sandwich was to DIE for! Super flakey & fresh with a decent amount of vegan egg & bacon! YUM! They had a nice day up of tables in the large hallway & it was very laid back & quiet.

Nice place with kind staff, was pretty disappointing to see egg croissants and eggs Benedict on the “daily menu” on the website but then after walking to the store it’s apparently actually only on weekends. :( People eat breakfast during the week too

(Thank you for response, that’s understandable. Maybe just update your website in the future if that happens so we can know)

Brunch was lovely. Only a few tables to eat in though, it’s a small place. Great food and the staff are very friendly. Easily accommodated gluten free with options.

ALK is a small cafe on the second floor of a bright business space. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. I got the egg bennie croissant, which had a delicious hollandaise sauce. My partner got the gyro, which had a nice spice to it. While the food was wonderful, what I found most unique about ALK is the outward displays of activism throughout the cafe. While I appreciate all vegan restaurants/cafes/bakery, it was nice to see a vegan establishment be so outward with their values. Definitely a lovely place to support.

I didn't know that they closed at 2pm, I arrived at probably 15 minutes before they closed. So the place was quite empty and I ordered my food. It's very nice and cozy environment. Very good and friendly service. Food was fresh and healthy as I expected. I wish they have good business as it's getting harder to find a decent vegan restaurant.
