I went to the Annex Social for the Bill Bolton Arena holiday party. The restaurant is huge. They have lots of TV screens which is great for sports fans.
Bill Bolton even had their own menu - so impressive.
I had one of the daily speciala which was a fried chicken wrap with a Caesar salad in their sandwiches. It was absolutely delicious and so filling I could only eat half.
Dessert was a lovely chocolate, mousse on a thin wafer. It was very nice and light and not too sweet.
Spencer, the chef is self-taught and he makes his own hot sauces. You must try them. They are delicious.
Returned for Brunch. The eggs Benedict with chorizo was amazing. The home fries are to die for, nice and crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside and spiced just right. The eggs were poached perfectly and runny.
Someone else had the burger it looks so delicious. I think I’ll try it next time.
I got one of each of their house made hot sauces. So far each has been spectacular with its own flavour profile. Great on plain chicken or eggs. It really kicks up the flavour a notch.
Self taught Chef Spencer really knows his flavours. Their hot sauces are ding on. Add some to that boring dish to make it shine

I don't want to leave a 1 star review, but feel I have to as a warning to others.
My girlfriend and I got the Nashville fried chicken, but it was maybe the worst chicken we've ever had. The main issue is that it was fried in old, dirty oil and was completely unseasoned. You could tell it was old oil from the fact it came out burnt and smelled like a retirement home. The fries were also burnt and like cardboard. I was hoping for some saving grace in the coleslaw, but no dice.
The atmosphere is that of a club, not a restaurant. The service was bare minimum as well.
I didn't want to be rude so I ate as much as I could. My girlfriend could barely stomach it. We paid the $65 and got out.
If anything, don't order the Nashville fried chicken.

We really enjoyed our meal last night. I had a hamburger with a sauce I really enjoyed and my partner had mushroom pizza which I also enjoyed😀. We learned that everything is made from scratch and the chef regularly changes up the menu. The service was very friendly but relaxed. The decor is simple but impressive and, the bathrooms were clean as hell. No greasy old doors etc. The bill was surprisingly reasonable. I’ll definitely be returning.

Came for dinner and drinks with some friends. The service was great. Clear view of the game from lots of TVs. However, the food stole the show! So good! Strongly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Awesome smashburger! Great Korean crispy chicken sandwich! Fantastic neighborhood bar, with great service. The menu is surprisingly really good for a neighborhood bar. You will not be disappointed.

I was here regularly last fall when there were open mics on Thursdays but those are gone. Now my Tuesday hickey league drops in here regularly and that's great for me cuz they have a great gf pizza and some other options. Wish they had tortilla chips that were not cross contaminated cuz that's another great option for sports and open mic kind of groups when you cant eat wheat. Still great though!

The service is the worse I’ve ever had. Honestly, the worse, out of literally all the restaurants I’ve ever been to in all of my life! The waitress (or maybe she was a manager? Not sure who she was, but would definitely not call her a waitress, based on the service we got) seems like she hates her job and doesn’t want to be there.

WARNING! This place could send you to the hospital if you have allergies!! Was reassured the naked wings were gluten free. Tasted fried, so after waiting 15 minutes for her to come check in (she never did) headed to the bar to find her, and asked if she was sure the oil used to fry them was gluten free too. She said they fry fish and chips in the same oil. She was unable (or couldn’t be bothered to care) to understand why that would have been important to mention. Then told us (and I quote): ‘healthcare is free in Canada dude’. Also called us ‘losers’ when we got up to leave (without eating). Not sure how they are still in business.
