This place blew me away — and I never usually go for these flavours. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and packed with warmth and comfort. The hummus, the bread, the spices… unreal. Consider me officially converted. Highly recommend.

Arbequina is my favourite restaurant in the city. This is my second visit and I had to try the Seabass which is divine and delicious. The falafels were also the best I’ve ever had. We left just enough space for desert and had the milk cake with pistachio and ate every bite until thr last drop it was so good! Thank you Chef Moeen and team for the most wonderful dinner and making it a family meal I’ll never forget.

Great dining experience overall.
We ordered one appetizer, two shared dishes, and two mains.
Pros: The bread was soft and delicious, and the smoked lamb was perfectly prepared — tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Cons: The steak in the hummus was a bit overcooked, and the 8 oz steak itself was somewhat chewy. Our server was polite and attentive, though the service felt slightly rushed at times.
Overall: For the price point, it’s not quite a five-star experience, but still a very commendable meal with standout flavors and quality ingredients.

The smoked lamb centre table is INSANE, absolutely delicious delectable peices of lamb perfectly balanced with the pomegranate and onion, as is the zaatar bread. Wonderful. However the steak hummus was a disappointment, and the mains were not up to par. Steak was cooked medium rare but lacked flavor and was overall medicore. Half chicken was a good, sauces alongside were done quite well, but nothing outstanding for the prices listed.

We just had an unforgettable dining experience at this Michelin-starred restaurant! The Halal menu was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Each dish, from start to finish, was perfection, the dessert and mocktails were also a surprise hit! The service was top notch, with the chef and staff going above and beyond. Highly recommend this spot! 10/10

The food was quite underwhelming and overall it felt very basic except the bread. The space itself was also quite ordinary. What threw me off was the $13 mocktail - it was served half full and tasted like something straight out of a grocery store lemonade bottle. I’m not sure if they find this humorous but it honestly looked more like an error than an aesthetic choice. It’s also offensive to paying customers. I’d rather pay a little more and have a stronger experience at Don Alfonso.
EDIT: Yikes, the restaurants response was a bit tone deaf. A $13 mocktail is only reasonable when it’s served properly, not half full. A simple acknowledgment of improvement would’ve gone much further.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Arbequina!
We ordered the falafel starter, half chicken, and mansaf — every dish was spot-on. The falafel was crispy and flavorful, the chicken perfectly cooked and juicy, and the mansaf was rich, authentic, and comforting. The flavors were balanced beautifully, and you can tell the ingredients are top quality. Service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere cozy yet elegant. Definitely one of the best Middle Eastern meals I’ve had in Toronto. Highly recommend!
