We had our daughter's first birthday at Archeo due to their policy of not allowing deposits to be sold or transferred (our deposit was intially made during covid-19 and had to postpone/relocate our wedding due to restrictions). This was one of the first issues I had with Archeo, however I had no choice if I did not want to lose a $3500 deposit.The planning process with Olivia was smooth and she was able to answer all our questions and ensure quick responses when making changes to our event.However, on the day of the event - we had several issues. The first issue we had was, since we had a buffet meal and wanted a kids meal, Olivia had said we would have to pay the adult price for the kids meal as it would be included in our buffet.On the day of the event, the kids meal was not included in the buffet and the chef had no idea. We spoke to the onsite coordinator and he advised us he would look into it. He then came back and said he has no record of a kids meal included in the buffet and we would have to pay $10/meal, despite the fact we had prepaid already for 4 kids at adult prices. I notified the coordinator and he went back again to "figure it out". He came back a second time and said they will serve the 4 kids and I can figure it out later with Olivia.He came back a third time and finally said they will remove the 4 adult charges for the kids ($60pp) and only charge us for the 4 kids meals ($10/pp). While this was a satisfactory resolution, the constant back and forth took me away from my event numerous times.Shortly after food was served, the onsite coordinator repeatedly kept asking when the cake would be cut - mind you, food had just been served at 12:30pm and Archeo had on their schedule to cut the cake at 1pm.We had a 3 hour event, you'd think we would be able to cut our cake whenever we wanted, this was a birthday party, not a wedding, so it was more a "go with the flow" kind of event. I must've been asked at least 3 times when the cake would be cut - again taking me away from my event, with the coordinator telling me the chefs were getting antsy. Why? I'm paying for the space, the food and the chefs coming with the food. Why am I being rushed to cut the cake during my very short event?Finally, we rushed to take pictures around our cake so the staff could cut it. They took the cake away almost immediately and DISCARDED MY HANDMADE CAKE TOPPER! They were able to cut the cake in record time and bring it out , but could not be bothered to bring back my child's FIRST birthday cake topper that was handmade by my sister. There was also an acrylic "1" topper that was also discarded.After the cake, people had already started to leave and at 3:02pm, the coordinator came to me and said just to let you know, your event is over. People were LITERALLY walking out the door and we had already started cleaning.Ontop of this, we had until 4pm to clean up and remove our belongings and at 3:30 we were nearly done, however the family that was helping us clean up was being eyed by security and rushed out the door. Mind you, we were coordinating where to put stuff/in whose car etc and the security was just very rude telling them to leave and pushing us out. We still had 30 minutes to clean and we were not socializing.I would not recommend Archeo for an event as you will repeatedly be taken away from your event for things that could have been dealt with later. If i'm paying for your food and your staff, I should be able to tell YOU when I want my cake cut.The two positives here, the food was delicious and the staff, aside from security, was friendly even if they were a bit misinformed.Very glad I did not have my wedding here.

The venue itself was beautiful and was the perfect size for the party!When it came to the food, it was actually some of the best “corporate wedding” food I’ve had in the city.BUT I had a main which included a roast beef type dish and it was soooo dry! It was so dry I almost choked - not an exaggeration.Multiple people had the same experience with this dish in particular and couldn’t even finish it. I asked a server for something (anything) that could help alleviate the dryness and all she could say was that they couldn’t do anything and service was over (??). Bless her heart though she really tried.It seems the plate was on the warmer for wayyy too long and dried up the beef because when it came the plate was warm but that was all.Service and experience were overall good (5 stars), I would actually give this a 3.5 because the dry beef really affected my experience

We absolutely LOVED having our wedding at Archeo! Danielle and the entire team made us feel so welcomed and confident that we would have an amazing day - and she was right! We ended up having our ceremony and dinner inside during November and it was the most beautiful and intimate evening. The dinner staff were so accommodating and attentive, the room was flipped quickly between ceremony and reception, and the food was amazing. We cannot recommend Archeo enough!

Whether the ceremony is in the beautiful outdoor courtyard or inside, it is just as beautiful. The food is always spot on and delicious and I often hear guests rave about it! We can’t say enough great things about this venue! We got married this past weekend and it was everything we wanted and much more! We got incredibly lucky with a cancellation last year and booked immediately because we knew we wanted to get married here. First, our coordinator Danielle was fantastic! She was extremely responsive, accommodating and friendly. She was there on the day to ensure all ran smooth. We really appreciate all of her hard work and efforts to provide a seamless day for us. Next, the food was absolutely amazing! Our guests were raving and are still complimenting the food. My mom told me yesterday she’s craving the penne pasta lol. Lastly, the staff was incredible! They were super attentive, personable and went out of their way to ensure every guest was happy. We heard them call guests by name, which we loved. At one point, we noticed our dinner was served however the staff noticed we were going around talking to guests so they took our plates back and made a fresh one for us for when we came back. They wanted it to be hot. All of this just far exceeded any expectation we had and we feel so lucky to have gotten married here. Ohh and I forgot to mention that when the night was finished, the staff packed everything up for us in boxes and even brought it out to the Uber for us. This is just top notch service.Overall, not only is this a unique, rustic and beautiful venue, but it has all the bells and whistles that make it worth while. Tea was absolutely incredible! She went above and beyond. When the bride and groom wanted sparkler pictures, she made sure everyone was in line and everything was safe. She danced with us and she was amazing!!!

The short rib dinner that I had was, WITHOUT QUESTION, the GREATEST WEDDING DINNER I HAVE EVER EATEN. If I were to come back to this area, I would order that meal without question. A+++

We loved having our wedding at Archeo! We had our ceremony in the courtyard and reception inside. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and strikes a perfect balance between intimate, romantic, and city chic. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive and made sure everything went smoothly on the day of. We were a bit unsure about the food as we didn’t get the chance to do a tasting as we had chosen to do a buffet (the Sunday Roast), but I can confirm that it is absolutely delicious. All our guests had amazing things to say about the food! We went with the flat rate bar with the wine upgrade and that was a great choice too – our guests appreciated having lots of options and this made it easier for us to calculate the price of everything. Communication between myself and the event coordinators was not always the best (they had three different staff turnovers during my wedding planning), but the last person who I worked with, Katerina was awesome, and things were much easier after she started working with Distillery Events. Thank you Archeo for a wonderful wedding day!! I would highly recommend Archeo for your wedding or next special event.

I was part of a wedding at Archeo in Sept 2022. I am lucky enough to have been at this wedding venue multiple times as a wedding photographer. It is definitely one of my favourite Toronto spots. Not only is the ceremony and reception location stunning the rest of the Distillery District offers many great spots for family, wedding party and couple photos. Obviously the Distillery District can be very busy but it's not so bad that you can't create great photos (unless during Christmas Market season). Also, the outdoor ceremony location is closed off from the public so you get the look of the district and complete privacy. In my opinion, to make a venue truly great you need fantastic food on top of atmosphere and awesome service staff. I have been to many a venue and most fail in food quality. Being a restaurant Archeo goes above and beyond in this area. The food looks and tastes amazing. Even the vegetarian options! Every wedding I have attended here has been gorgeous, intimate and so much fun. Can't wait to be back!
