Had an excellent Italian take on a turkey sandwich … high quality ingredients served warm and toasty! Gladly repeat…

The Enzo was delicious (the combination of the mortadella combined with the pistachio pesto and hint of Stracciatella cheese was tasty)! I also got the Rogo Rogo as well.
However....I was sharing both sandwiches with my partner and as he opened the packaging for one of them he noticed a piece of hair in the sandwich.
**Update** - The owner reached out to me afterwards and asked me to contact him. He apologized for my experience (with finding the hair) and stated that he would take the necessary steps to make sure it didn't happen again. He actually went above and beyond and surprisingly gave me a refund for one of my sandwiches as well as a store credit. Despite the experience this time I'd happily return to Ariete e Toro for those delicious sandwiches (honestly one of the best I've had in the city!). Customer service has been great as well. Can't wait till their second location opens soon!

Ariete E Toro is the name of the sandwich shop, and the Enzo sandwich perfectly showcases the care, quality ingredients, and pride that go into everything they craft.
The shop is owned by Matt, of Blondie’s Pizza fame, and Faith made our visit absolutely incredible. I had a great chat with Matt and a few fellow food lovers in line about the best sandwich artisans in the city.
This is definitely going to be my midtown sandwich spot. And good news for west end folks, they are planning to open a second location in the coming months.
Their signature sandwich, the Enzo, is something special:
Mortadella di Bologna
Pistachio pesto
Stracciatella cheese
Chopped pistachio
Lemon and basil oil
Every element is crafted and assembled with real care. It’s a feast for the eyes and the belly.
Simply delicious.

Some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Good sized portions served very quickly. No seating so grab it and go if you're in the area.

Excellent! Always fresh and always busy outstanding Italian sandwiches. Take out only unless it's summer then they have a couple of tables outside, but they are used mostly for clients waiting.

Best Hidden Gem in the city! A newest sandwich shop you have tried and you MUST! Worth the drive from anywhere in the city. From the bread to the service this was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had.
