We in Roncesvalles Village are so lucky to have Aris Place in our midst. This restaurant serves a wide variety of breakfast items (nicely done), as well as fresh and really tasty sandwiches and plates, with a range of coffees, milkshakes, cold beer and wine available. Spotlessly clean, genuinely friendly, Aris is a reasonably priced, reliably well run restaurant. The kitchen is located in the front window. The crew really know their jobs. Cash or debit only. Closes in mid afternoon. I've been a regular for years. I love this place!

Don’t eat here. I never bother posting reviews…but don’t eat here. The food is amateur, the men cooking it are rude and miserable, the conditions are unsanitary. Gave it two chances- didn’t want to go back but a friend insisted because her kid wanted pancakes.
How is food greasy AND dry at the same time? The Dempsters in the window is a heads up of what you can expect as far as “fresh” cooking. Rude owners and bad food is pretty benign though compared to getting a little look behind the counter…the dirty plates and debris of other people’s meal get stacked almost right on top of a loose pile of napkins and clean silverware tray that YOU will eat with. Cleaning rags tossed in the same spot. Disgusting.
On top of all this? People in this neighborhood talk and it’s been said that they don’t pay staff a legal hourly wage. Seems on brand.
Avoid this nasty little pancake Gulag like the plague.

The ambient is great for an old fashion diner. I would like to see better food at this price point or lower price for the same quality. It is ok diner food, fast, (probably) prepackaged homestyle comfort. But I cannot justify the price if a simple breakfast plate plus diner quality coffee is $20-25. This is the almost the same price point as the other sophisticated brunch restaurants in the area.

This was ok and very affordable, but not an amazing breakfast experience. Chewwy sausages and kind of old tasting grease, less than fresh.

I could probably have had a worse lunch, but I definitely could've had better. If I only had $10 and no other options, I'd come back.

I’ve been going here for almost 30 years, and it’s barely changed. It’s a real one.

Aris Place has been around the Roncesvalles area for over 20 years. I went there a few times in the early 2000's and they were an excellent place to eat.
I returned only to be disappointed by the server who rushed me to order my meal. I wanted to relax and enjoy a coffee before making any decisions.
She returned to take my order and the menu was lying unopened on the table. I had not looked at it yet.
I politely asked for five minutes and she walked away from me.
When she returned nearly ten minutes later, I ordered the bacon and three scrambled eggs with white toast and a second cup of coffee.
The coffee and my breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately because of the miscommunication between the server and myself I gave this place 3 stars and no tip on the bill.
Thank you Aris, but really please hire a less passive aggressive person to serve your customers.
