I can't really rate the food, I was there for the beer and for socialising, but it looked ok from what I saw. It ticked both boxes I was there for. It's my favourite pub in Toronto from the few times I've been now. Has an old charm, a set of regulars, more than one bar and outside area, a good selection of beer, and a lively customer base upstairs. Friendly staff too.
2nd floor staff who worked on Oct 12 Saturday night was the best bartender ever, she was serving 20+ people without any delays and was kind and never made a mistake. Made our night!
It has been a very long time since I was here but when I was in Toronto on business my go-to place for awesome pub food was the Artful Dodger! The service was excellent and the food incredible! I have such wonderful memories of this pub. They had the best Perogies served with onions, bacon, shredded cheese, sour cream and salsa. With a mug of ice cold beer, what a great meal!
