Their food is literally so good. Whenever I am in Toronto this is one of my must visit. Their soup dumplings and the Bok Choy dish are my absolute favorite. Haven’t found anything that compares to their dumplings.

I ordered today and Uber Eats place was extremely expensive more than other Chinese restaurant, but I said I would give it a try. Maybe it’s good quality. The general tow does not look at all like the picture. There was no sesame seed whatsoever and the most important thing is it’s not even chicken. It’s basically the crispy part of the chicken fried that’s it. You’re basically eating crispy fried dough. I don’t recommend this place. When I called them to ask for them to order something new for me or maybe to refund me, they said to contact Uber. They were not helpful.

Be warned. Item 143 on menu is Iced lemon tea for $4.50. If you expect Hong Kong lemon tea which requires a bit of work from the bar staff, you are wrong. What arrived was a can of Fuze lemon tea in the can with a straw. That's $4.50. And so it goes. Expensive and none of it worth the price.

Asian Legend on Dundas in Chinatown delivers Northern Chinese flavors with precision and consistency. Their steamed soup-filled dumplings (crab & pork) are a standout — delicate wrappers encasing a burst of savory broth and finely seasoned filling that speaks to time-honored technique . The pan-fried chicken potstickers add a pleasant crunch and juicy interior, striking a balance that’s tough to master .

I also enjoyed the Kung Pao Shrimp, where shrimp are fresh and stir-fried to a perfect sheen, coated in a sweet-spicy sauce . The extensive menu reflects their commitment to health — less oil, less salt — but the flavors stay bold .

The space blends modern style with nostalgic Chinese motifs, creating a comfortable setting for both casual meals and family gatherings . Service is cheerful and prompt, and portion sizes offer real value — a full experience without breaking the bank.

If you appreciate well-executed Northern Chinese cuisine — from dumplings to stir-fry — Asian Legend is a reliable and satisfying go-to in Toronto’s Chinatown.

I went there on Sat, May 31st, 2025, around 2pm. It's not crowded. The service was great. The jelly fish salad was a little too salty for me.

spot felt very mid still. on the expensive end for less quantity compared to other competitors in the china town area and quality isn't exceptional

Terrible place with extremely rude waitress

Unfortunately I had disappointing experience in this place. When me and my friend asked for a bill, I have chosen on the machine “no tip” option. After that the waitress still insisted on paying tips in rude manner. When I told that I already have paid and I am confused why is she doing that she gave the machine to my friend in aggressive manner, which I find impolite and unprofessional. I understand that tipping is a common practice, but it is not mandatory and depends on the customer's decision, especially if you can choose an option “no tip” while paying debit. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values respectful service.

Fantastic service from kind older ladies. Food is awesome; reminds me of Taiwan.

Been coming here for over 10 years and have no plans in stopping. It is our first and last stop every time we visit from Michigan

The food is disgusting, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. The waitress wasn’t polite and the environnement was bad.
