Excellent experience! Our server was so kind, helpful, and attentive. The drinks were absolutely perfect and our food was all delicious. Music was good and not so loud that we couldn’t have a conversation. They didn’t rush us out which was so nice. Would absolutely go back!

Made this my brunch stop today. I used to come here when it was a German Beer Hall. I was curious how the new owners would use the space and how the food was.I got the French Toast and the Thick-Cut Bacon. The bacon was great and perfectly cooked. I wish it was a little thicker but that doesn't take away from it.The French Toast was pulled high with whipped cream, and some pistachio nuts. The French Toast could have been hotter internally. That probably would have meant the whipped cream melting but I'd have been fine with that. Otherwise, it was a good meal and glad I got it.The blueberry sauce was good. Added in the maple syrup and it was a great combo. I feel full and happy. I want to come back and try the steak and fries dish next time.No one came by to ask how the food was after I got served, which was a little abnormal. Especially since there were only 6 other tables in the place taken at 10:30am.

My experience at this restaurant was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were promised a table, only to return from parking to find someone else occupying it. The communication among the staff seemed nonexistent as we were informed that brunch was no longer available AFTER we had already sat down and ordered drinks. To add insult to injury, when our drinks finally arrived, we were left waiting for ages before being informed that our options were limited to either a charcuterie platter or a salad. Not only was the service slow and disorganized, but there was also a complete lack of apology or acknowledgment for the inconvenience caused by their incompetence.Overall, the experience was incredibly disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy being treated with utter disregard and disrespect.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Astoria, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish! The ambience was top-notch, providing the perfect experience to catch-up with a close girlfriend - we loved the background music! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the meal. Each dish that graced our table was a culinary masterpiece, perfectly executed and bursting with flavour - I had the Eggs Benedict, best I’ve ever had. However, the true highlights of our brunch was undeniably the French toast, a divine creation that left us craving more, and the Passionfruit sour drink, a refreshing and tantalizing libation that perfectly complemented our meal.Meeting the Owner added a personal touch to our dining experience, showcasing the passion and dedication behind every aspect of the restaurant. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Astoria to anyone in search of a memorable dining experience. I simply cannot wait to return and try their dinner menu!

This is my first time visiting this restaurant. I feel the atmosphere is good, the food here is very good, and the washroom is very clean.

Went for Dinner. Painfully loud. You have to yell if you want the person 2ft in front of you to hear. Food was good but didn’t live up to the price. The chocolate mousse is a very sad portion size. There’s no point in dining in if you can’t have a conversation comfortably.

Picture yourself on the titanic in a dining room with a french american atyle atmosphere around you.The sights, the sounds, the ambiance, the conversations within ear shot, the food in front of you, everything! The foods awaken taste buds you didn't even know existed within your palate and the drinks are constructed with such precision it leaves you with a sense of awe.The food presentation alone was worth the drive from stratford to Toronto, only to experience this restaurant.Aside from the above, the service was also top notch with and engaging and knowledgeable staff. You must experience this place because that's what's it is, an experience!

Happened upon this place in the city. The atmosphere and décor of the restaurant is definitely compelling and the food came close but ultimately failed to match up to those albeit, high standards (based on my dining experience). If you're not hungry, it's a beautiful place for a drink. The seating can be tight if you do not reserve on a weekend.

Astoria is a very beautiful, cinematic type establishment that makes you feel like you’re in Paris, France just vibing. My partner and I came for brunch and the menu was short and to the point which I liked, because that meant those few items were probably really really good. I had the Steak and Eggs which was just yummy. The steak was cooked perfectly, served with butter, strawberries, spinach, sea salt, and potatoes(not shown). I like how it was perfectly balanced and left me feeling like I could walk out with my pants still buckled (lol). All in all Astoria felt very posh and they’re also known for their cocktails, so if you go definitely check that out.

Came here for brunch because TikTok could not hype this place enough. The food was decent, but nothing special, and the menu was limited. I fount the food subpar at best, and something I would only recommend as a last option,

Absolutely delicious meal! Make sure you hit up martini hour for $10 martinis (a steal in the city) and I definitely enjoyed all our food! We had the little gem salad, the french onion soup, mussels frites, steak tartare (which was my fave of the night) and a creme brulee! We definitely ordered too much for sitting at the bar but they made space for all our plates somehow! Would def come back for a date night!

Food was decent but not anything spectacular. What really bothered me was the reaction to asking if they would be able to switch out sausage on breakfast place for anything veggie. I got an immediate annoyed “no we don’t do that”. Seriously, it’s 2024 in a major city and you’re going to tell me it’s so much work to offer an alternative to a sausage? It would’ve taken less time and effort to just not cook/plate a sausage, and toss on a sprinkle of salad which is available at that time. Also why bring out cold toast with frozen butter? Won’t be back. Plenty of other places in the city with fantastic brunches that aren’t trying to be difficult to patrons.

Way too loud. You can’t hear your partner even speak. Everyone is yelling to communicate. Overpriced and an unpleasant experience. Seating is terrible and all the stools are unleveled with wobbly cafe style tables that can’t even house a steak frites! And $9.50 for bread?! Come on!
