Astoria Shish Kebob House - Danforth

The food is good but the service was slow, I still tipped 15% because its who I am… but I probably won’t come back.

We were greeted and seated pretty quickly this afternoon. The food came out fresh, delicious, and cooked well. Service was friendly and no frills. My family and I enjoyed our lunch experience very much and will always be a customer to Astoria, no matter the location! We all got different meat (pork, beef, and chicken) souvlaki and they were all cooked to perfection!

Chicken souvlaki was delicious. Tender and plentiful. Salad and sides were great also. We had to wait at bit but they seem shy of servers.

Recommended by a local and did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy and tender. The salad was prepared just right. A great bargain for the price as well.

This place was okay. The food took a while to come and the portions did not match the price. It was yummy, but I have gotten better for a more reasonable price at other greek spots :(

The atmosphere was very lively and cozy though! We still had a good time catching up.

The food was dry, over cooked, and the servers were no where to be seen. Not recommended at all.

Not what it used to be.

I came in on Father’s Day with my family without a reservation. It was busy but the owner and staff tried hard to get us seated. The service was fantastic attentive. Food was great. I’ve been coming here for years and will continue to. It’s a great family restaurant.

I ordered the pork souvlaki dinner the seasoning on the rice. I don’t know what it is, but it has a weird taste to it and the souvlaki as well. Had a weird taste to it. This doesn’t taste like authentic Greek cuisine whatsoever, and this is disappointing coming from a Greek owned restaurant.

Great servixe. We ate outside on a patio. Hubby is an avid fan of calamari and declared this was the best he has ever had! Great saganaki and terrific Greek salad! Opa!!
Do note that our bill also included 5 alcoholic drinks, which affects the cost per person.

We got catering for a relative large gathering and the food and service everything we could ask. Guest loved the food and Nixon gave us a reasonable price and way more than enough food for our guest. Been coming here for to dine in for years and will gladly return in the future.

The staff is very nice, efficient and welcoming, especially Linda.
The food is so delicious. This restaurant has become a favorite in Toronto.
