Great interior. Music isn’t too loud. Many varieties of sushi. Good place

I’ve been here a few times in the last 6 months and the quality is not consistent…seems to get worst. I’ve tried both the lunch and dinner menu, it was below average. The quality of tuna and salmon is just way too chewy and clearly farmed fish. The Korean beef ribs, steak teriyaki and other meet options are again not impressive.
Compared to the Scarborough location, this place is 2 stars at most.
I would not recommend August 8 in general…

A big menu, good quality sushi and dim sum. Although the first round of food came quickly but the wait for food after the second round takes longer and longer. It’s a trick to have people take time to feel full and order less, but it gets annoying when the 90 minutes approaching.

August 8 AYCE Dim Sum and Sushi was a solid choice for a birthday celebration! The variety was good, and I was especially happy to see butterfish on the menu—such a treat! The food was decent, nothing extraordinary, but definitely satisfying. Great spot for a casual celebration with friends.

Sushi & sashimi were pretty good, service was good but the desserts were tasteless and very strange. The cakes didn't taste like cake but more like very frozen cream. Overall, decent for the price if you come hungry since most dishes consist of rice, but I don't think I'd make the trek back.
