Stopped in because I was in the area and BMV didn't open until noon. Such a friendly place...Paula is so warm and welcoming and I felt like I was stopping into a friend's home. Toronto can feel like a very cold city sometimes but you'd never know that here. Coffee and veggie empanada was delicious. A lovely little gem in the neighborhood and I can't wait to come back đŸ˜€â€ïž thank you!!!

Ave María is the best spot in the entire city. Coffee & buñuelos are delicious.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. What they call an “arepa de choclo” is absolutely not an authentic arepa de choclo. It tasted awful and actually made me nauseous — I honestly don’t know if it was old or had been sitting in a fridge for too long. It was disgusting and puts Colombian cuisine in a very bad light here in Toronto.

The owner, who also serves the food, assured me the arepas were made with pure corn — but that couldn’t be further from the truth. What they serve is made with canned sweet corn and wheat flour. The dominant taste is that of overly salty canned food. It’s not an arepa — it’s a horrible, misleading excuse for one. A devilish little cake sold with lies.

I don’t know if what I was served was spoiled, but I seriously think Toronto Public Health should inspect this place.

Is a very cute shop with some colombian products.
I will say coffee was goodđŸ€—
But my almojabanas were not. Please see the pictures. Im not sure if they were reheated from a day before or maybe just a bad batch. However, if I was the person behind the counter and noticed how they felt and looked, I would not have given it to the customer. After a while, they were hard as a rock. But hey, I just hope you guys can do better next time.

Coming from NY, this was a disappointment.
