Great little restaurant! Our server was nice and our food was fresh and fast. Delicious too! My only complaint was the home fries, they had a strong lemon/sour/vinegar taste. Everything else was 10/10!

The Montreal smoked meat is a wonderful addition to your breakfast plate, the home fries are cooked perfectly, and the portion sizes are big, so you can bring leftovers home.

Avenue Open Kitchen feels like stepping straight into old Toronto. A true blue-collar diner tucked into an old townhouse just off Spadina, serving unapologetically hearty classics: peameal bacon, Montreal-style smoked meat, bacon and eggs.
I had the Montreal-style sandwich. It was generous, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. The owner even added the pickle, exactly as any proper Montreal sandwich deserves.
