The tasting menu in main restaurant is one of my favorite meals ever, but the summerlicious menu at the bar today was very disappointing. Food was bland, I wasn't impressed with the flavor - several dishes were lacking basic salt/seasoning in addition to more depth of flavor/umami. Portions were extra tiny, mains felt smaller than an app at a regular restaurant. Literally like 4-5 tiny pieces of gnocchi in that dish. I left hungry after eating all 3 courses, it's the vegan trope which is usually untrue but unfortunately came to life here as there wasn't enough focus on vegan portions and carbs, and portions were simply way too tiny.

As always, Bar Avelo was incredible - the service was excellent, the summerlicious menu was inventive yet timeless, and so delicious. The drinks were outstanding. No complaints here, thank you again, Bar Avelo!

I went for the summerlicious tasting menu and had a great experience! 3 courses of the most creative dishes i've ever tried. Really great flavours and textures. How many times do we get to try a truly new food experience in our adult lives? I've been to the restaurant downstairs and now the bar upstairs and they both deliver on new, inventive, and delicious, for a decent price. Our servers were also great!

My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Bar Avelo, and we're so glad we chose it. The staff made us feel genuinely special, and the whole evening had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The 5 course menu with the wine pairings is what we chose that came with 3 palate cleansers. We're usually not a fan of white wine, but the ones we had with our food made us rethink that. Each dish was presented spectacularly and each explanation just had our mouth watering and ready to dig in. Also we had the best croissant we've had by far. If we could've just bought those separately to take home, we would've.
Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. We initially thought the portion sizes were small, but by the end of it, you'll be too full to eat anything else.

I read through a ton of reviews prior to booking our reservation, so I was unsure what to expect with our trip, but my husband and I were both extremely satisfied. We did the 5-course menu option. The food tasted phenomenal, with such a unique variety of items combined together. The server (Flo) was fabulous, explaining every course in great detail. As with most 5+ course menus, the foods served were a smaller portion, but as there were so many, we did not leave hungry.
We look forward to returning on our wedding anniversary to enjoy the 8-course menu.

High quality, fancy, vegan dining! Came here for a birthday date and it was such a fun experience. The wine pairings were amazing and the food was So interesting and good. I’m not used to “fine dining” so I will admit the wine and little croissants were my favourite, but everything was such a high quality taste!
Food was tasty but I thought the tapas was expensive for what you get. Also I didn't like the fact that 18% tip was included on the bill. I as the customer will decide what is an appropriate tip. Will not go back. Our usual bill is more than half what we paid for far more food. Place was empty on a Friday night I wonder why.

The food is incredible I am not a vegetarian and I could eat here everyday! Both of us enjoyed every dish that was served . We will be back to have the chefs tasting menus !

We went to Avelo to celebrate our anniversary and loved the experience. Amy and Amara were waiting on us who not only eased us in but also helped us appreciate every dish through the evening. They even gave us a complementary non alcoholic drink when they heard we were there to celebrate.
The 5 course menu is what we chose that came with 3 palate cleansers. The highlight of the dinner was not just how each dish was presented but how your eyes would see one thing but your mouth would experience the explosion of flavors.
All in all it was enjoyable and don't be fooled by the portion sizes, we were both so full after the meal. 😊

wowowowow what a gem. gorgeous interior, beyond delicious food (and so creative/unique too!) and great service. couldn’t have asked for more, i wish we had done the 8 course option but i had been eating all day and thought it would be too much, so much regret once we started eating, as everything was so delicious. definitely need to come back!
