I booked this spot as a date night and I won’t lie, the bad reviews made me nervous. We got the 8 course tasting menu and overall it was one of the best meals I have ever had. I actually dreaded the beetroot course (with 4 beetroot components) because I really hate beets and it ended up being one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. The only thing we didn’t really like was the tempeh course (we might be biased because we don’t like tempeh). We aren’t big dessert people...
We went to Avelo for a chef’s tasting menu. I was a little worried they would be really upscale and we were wearing walking shoes and vacation clothes. Quite the opposite, the staff were super friendly and helpful. There were amuse-bouche between courses which added to the fun. Amazing experience at Avelo. It was my partner and I's anniversary and we spent a good amount of time looking for a special place and we picked the right place.
Two vegan tasting menus were ordered and they were fantastic! What an amazing experience throughout the whole menu!
We will totally be back for more.
