Best butter tarts and cookies. Coconut bun was WOW! The savoury buns however were a little slim with the fillings, which made me feel like I’m eating mostly bread. Delicious otherwise!

Hi.
Had the char Siu Bao and felt the ratio of bun to filling wasn't right as it was a little too much bun so some bites was more bread and less char Siu. And the the char Siu was plentiful but lacked a sweetness and fluidity to make every bite 'mouth watering '. Also the bread could benefit from a little more sweetness. I'd rate this a 3.5

The curry bun was ok. And wish the curry was a little more kick/curry sauce and just gave us the 'wow effects ' when taking a bite. I'd rate this a 3.5.

Butter tart is really good! Crust was crispy and a tad thick (very picky here as I think a crust role is to hold the butter filling and not overwhelm the taste - personal thought but let's me clear.this is an excellent crust.) and filling was sweet, earthy almost burned sugar/ carsmel like. Almost perfection if there was more filling to give every bite (and maybe I take top big of a bite) a buttery explosion in your mouth.

I look forward to returning and trying their other items.

Staff is so so friendly and they made this a very enjoyable and happy visit.

One of the best bakeries in the city — between butter tarts, spam and egg tarts, and their seasonal specialities we can’t stop going back.

Bà Nôi is at the top of my recommendation list for anyone who visits Toronto and wants something special.

A small family owned business. Their country and rye get sold out pretty quickly. They sell the entire loaf and you have to slice it at home the old school style with a serrated knife.
However, when toasted properly, the bread is a perfect mix of crisp and sponge. It gives out a nice smell too.

I appreciate that their bread is high hydration and super airy and fluffy. However, the bottom was burnt!

Initially, I wasn't going to post this review because I thought maybe it was an off-day and their bread isn't always burnt but it's been burnt more than once! The picture is of the bread even after scraping off some of the burnt bottom!
