3.5 Service is v transactional, they don't even try faking friendliness lol. I actually preferred the galette over the buttertarts, which were good but nothing out-of-this-world like I'd been led to believe by rave reviews. Both buttertarts and cookies are way too sweet

Butter tarts were super fresh and warm when we went at 2pm. The cookie was as good as suggested by other comments. Highly recommend! Need to get there early for the savory foods

The owner was so annoyed and rude to me just because I was disappointed that he was out of everything. I literally have been there 4 times now and they have been out of everything each time. That’s totally fine and I’m sure their products are delicious but I wasn’t rude at all. He was so grumpy. Terrible customer service.

I’m on vacation to Toronto from Ohio and I love trying new places to eat. This place is about an hour walk from my hotel and I saw it was highly praised online so I made the trip.. when I got here I was unsure where the place was there isn’t a good sign saying where it is I also should have done more research because I was not aware there was nowhere to sit but that’s okay there is other places around.. the server at the counter was okay I asked for recommendations and he didn’t explain much he just said do you want sweet or savory and I said one and one because I wanted to try both and he gave me two things without really explaining what they were he just said the name and that’s fine it just would have been nice to know what it was I know he could tell I was confused.. I then asked if they knew somewhere I could go and sit down for coffee and to eat and they said the coffee shop next door but when I asked if they had good coffee they responded “ehh I mean you can sit down” and don’t get me wrong I like the honesty but why not just give me a recommendation.. from the food I got I was not a big fan and I’m not sure how it’s so popular. I believe I got pork in a roll and one of the tarts things all in all did not enjoy it but maybe I just had a bad experience.

damn this was SO GOOD the chocolate chip cookies were more chewy than crispy and they weren’t overwhelmingly sweet. the butter tart though, wow. that was crispy af & dripping with sweet caramel and something else. it was amazing.

Honestly the butter tart was average. But the chocolate chip cookie was SO GOOD, one of the best I’ve had. Unfortunately I came around noon and they had sold out of their focaccias which was pretty disappointing. Wish there were more options throughout the day and the possibility to get them warmed up.

The first time I walked in, there was a tense vibe in the room. Their workers seems stressed and the main boss at the counter wasn't friendly. He didnt smile or greet us. He didn't say anything actually and he just gave a dumb blank stare.
Don't be at the counter taking customers orders when you clearly dont like it.
