I am happy to report that we had a lovely lunch on the side patio and the food was very good. I had not been to the restaurant for a couple of years as the quality had been dropping and then friends in the neighborhood started warning me away. Luckily they have turned things around. They have a new menu and we enjoyed the Grilled Veggie sandwich and the BLT which was a bit light on the T, but made up with the B and two different salads. The service was good and I will be back.

Dropped by High Park to see the cherry blossom extravaganza - on a nice sunny day, its perfect to sit on the patio and watch the world go by. Hot chocolate was good, desserts look delicious.

It's a shame to see the change in the menu, the service and the place itself. I often go with my family on weekends and we routinely have breakfast and then walk in the park. But that pleasant experience of being able to sit down at that restaurant and eat a full breakfast changed completely, it was replaced by bland sandwiches, self-service, horrible coffee and a cold dining room with no cousy ambiance. If you are looking for the much appreciated weekend breakfast, I advise you to go elsewhere before coming to the park, because you cannot expect much from this restaurant. It's a real shame it's gotten so bad.

I have eaten here many times over the year because I live very close to High Park. The food is surprisingly good, though the selection has decreased over time. And you can't beat the park setting! They have a large outdoor patio for eating outside if the weather is nice. It does get busy on weekends though.

Haven't been out in a long time for these past two years but it was a beautiful venue to finally connect with some of my (now MATURE...not OLD...) high school friends. In the spring HIGH PARK is an absolutely astounding location in the centre of a city and THE GRENNY is an historic place which feels like it has been here forever serving some pretty good food in the centre of this urban oasis. Thanks very much to the Grenadier Group for retaining the giant "tree" in the front servery when they took this place over in the mid-80's. It has been the restaurant's tribute to it's location in High Park for over FIFTY years. Our early group started with some delicious (albeit a tad dry) raspberry and blueberry scones ($3) washed down with copious amounts of excellent bottomless cups of coffee ($2.50). We decided on both breakfast and lunch selections, The EGGS BENEDICT ($16) were nicely poached and covered in creamy Hollandaise sauce. The GREEK SALAD ($15) seemed a bit pricey for salad but it was an original Greek style. The GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH ($17.50) was tender and complemented by a fresh focaccia bun. The CHEESE and BACON BURGER ($16.50) started out well but then I realized the star of the show was the thick and delicious bacon strips. The burger patty really was just a somewhat tasteless pre-formed thing and not made in-house which I had expected. No beer, wine or booze thanks to John Howard who deeded his property to the City of Toronto in 1873 on the condition that alcohol would NEVER be sold in the parkland !!! On the positive side, that makes your restaurant tab considerably more reasonable.

Best way to spend a beautiful fall day...in Toronto’s High Park! Then, head over to the Grenadier restaurant, located inside the park. Parking is available You can eat al fresco or indoors. We went there for a delicious breakfast. We were not disappointed...everything cooked to perfection! Great breakfast menu! Awesome service too! PS...you need to show proof of double vaccination and ID for indoor dining.

It is a nice spot, but it is basically a greasy spoon and breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids should not be over $100 once you tip. Good food, but nowhere near with the price.

The Grenadier cafe in High Park is a lovely hidden gem! On a beautiful summer morning, this was the ideal place to have a tasty breakfast on the outdoor patio. Great views of the park, friendly service, good meals at reasonable prices -- we loved it! And the tables were socially-distanced for safety. Lots of free parking too.

This was our first time at Berlin and decided to try the Sunday brunch. The cold table had a good variety of salads with meats and cheese as well as delicious baked goods. Ordered many items off of the hot item menu all were very flavourful and promptly brought to our table. Service was outstanding the waiter was very knowledgable and accommodating about the food coming out of the kitchen. Would highly recommend going there to try their brunch!

We went to The Berlin for an impromptu Sunday lunch with family. We arrived close to when the restaurant was closing to prepare for the dinner seating however, the staff on the floor and in the kitchen were extremely accommodating. We hadn't realized it was a set price for brunch with a unique cold buffet as well as hot options that were prepared to order. There were a number of drink options to choose from which were also included in the price. The "daily mimosa" was delicious with a unique blend of grapefruit and orange juices with ginger. The Caesars were tasty as well! We received wonderful service from the servers as they took our orders for hot food, cleared dishes promptly and were ever present refilling water glasses. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and great atmosphere at The Berlin.

Went for their Sunday brunch....again. This is going to be a very expensive habit! (But only in the long run - for a restaurant of this quality, the brunch pricing is amazing.) Food was delicious!

My wife and I had an enjoyable evening. It was our first time at The Berlin. I had the 4-course dinner, my wife picked a starter and a main of the menu. The food was good. My desert, a dark chocolate mousse with persimmon sorbet, made it into my top 5 deserts! Overall, I would recommend The Berlin and will eat there again. It is not cheap ... but good quality has its price. The only negative: I would offer at least one wine under $10 per glass. $12.50 for a glass of wine is too much.

My best friend and I needed a dinner to relieve the stresses of our every day lives. Upon review of the menu, we knew we would be whisked away by a world of flavours, cast across our taste buds. Since neither of us can resist anything involving fois gras, we had that as a started and then we had the tasting menu with the wine tastings to accompany it. Without going into detail about every dish (which would be exhausting), each dish had so much detail, from each ingredient chosen, to how it was presented. Everything was absolutely beautiful and the flavour combinations took us to places we really needed to venture to. The chosen wines accompanied the dishes to perfection. Some cut the heavy flavours of the dish, some complimented, some accentuated specific flavours. Everything was just perfect.
