A warm and cozy interior (wood-burning oven inside) with reliable and friendly service. Their bagels and sandwiches taste amazing and the beverages (hot or cold) are both very satisfying.

Whoever was working on Jan 31st may need to go through training again because I ordered 2 bagels with cream cheese and they had no cheese on them. Very disappointing.

First time trying this bagle spot, was very excited to say the least..did there bagle live up to the hype? Sadly no. I ordered for delivery on Uber eats I got the smoked turkey bagle with extra bacon and extra cream cheese, there was no extra cream cheese just a thin spread I was expecting more because I paid, the turkey was ok nothing special what truly made me upset was the lettuce it was not green & looked visibly old I think if anyone in this economy is paying $16.00 plus tax + delivery fee & tip making my total to be over $25 dollars for a single bagle sandwich it should definitely be worth it. Will I come here again probably not.

One of the best bagels in the East end. The Saturday morning lines are worth the wait for fresh bagels. Variety of bagels include Everything, Pumpernickel, Sesame, Poppy seed, Coconut, Plain, and more. Bagels sandwiches are a treat as well. More of a take out place but some limited seating avaialble.

They have the best bagels hands down. I love everything about the bagels, watching them take it out of the fire - the chewiness/mild sweetness and smell. They’re fresh and consistent every time. They never disappoint- highly recommend. I usually get the sesame with butter or the breakfast sandwich on sesame with banana peppers & my boyfriend usually gets an appetizer bagel, a breakfast sandwich and a bagel for the walk back lol 🥯❤️✨.

Ordered a dozen bagels for delivery. 4x of three varieties. Only 8 of the 2 varieties were provided. There was no communication, substitution, credit or refunded offered. I just paid full price for only 2/3's of an order ¯\_( ͠° ͟ʖ °͠ )_/¯

I’ve owned my business in the Beaches since 2013 and I’ve been part of this neighborhood in one way or another since my teens. I’ve seen a lot of places come and go, but Bagels on Fire has always been one of the good ones. Their product is excellent and deserves the reputation it has. This review is not about the food. The food is outstanding.

This is about how a serious allergy issue was handled. The timing is not lost on me either, given that it was World Anaphylaxis Awareness Day last week. I’ve been coming here since they opened and order weekly. Between catering and regular visits I probably spend close to a thousand a year. My order is always the same because I have lifelong allergies. It is simple. No mayonnaise, no seafood/fish.

Today I walked home with my order and discovered the sandwich had mayonnaise on it. Mistakes happen. I work in a service based business myself and I know mistakes are part of the job. What matters is how you respond to them. I called right away, said I would walk back, and politely asked if they could remake it.

When I got there, the experience was honestly disappointing. I was told I must have ordered it incorrectly, even though it is the same order I’ve made every week for years. I explained calmly that this is not a preference and that eating it would make me extremely sick. The reaction I got was eye rolling and silence. The sandwich was taken out of my hands and remade using the same ingredients that had already been exposed to mayonnaise. No confirmation that anything was replaced with clean materials. No acknowledgment. The staff member would not look at me or speak to me.

I’ve attached a photo of the bagel post adjustment still with mayonnaise.

I have a young daughter with even worse food allergies than I do. After today, there is no way I could bring her here in good conscience. If this is how an allergy mistake is handled for a grown adult who knows how to advocate for themselves, a child would be in real danger.

Again, the food is excellent. But if you have a food allergy, you need to be extremely cautious here or consider avoiding it. Mistakes will happen in any food business. What matters is acknowledgment, respect, and making it right. That is what leaves a customer feeling safe and valued.

As someone who has owned a local business here longer than they have, I’ll say this plainly. Your front line can make or break you. You never know who your customer is or the reach they have in the community. A simple “we’re sorry, we’ll fix it properly” goes a long way

you would think “bagels on fire” is just a clever name, but they must actually be setting the bagels on fire in there. i had an everything bagel that didn’t taste like anything except salt, because all the seasoning on top was literally incinerated. besides that, you can smell burning dough from a block away every other day. i don’t know if there’s a new employee that doesn’t know how to use the oven properly or something , but that’s not what a bagel is supposed to taste like, let alone one that claims to be an authentic montreal-style bagel. it’s honestly kind of sad when the bagels from a chain grocery store’s bakery are better than the ones at a local business. i don’t know how this place even stays open at this point.

Tasty Montreal style bagels, with a sweet wood fire oven taste. All of the typical cream cheese and sandwich offerings. Busy spot and takes kind of long but worth the wait. A few tables inside and out.

Will not be back. Learn to fill orders already placed before serving the fresh bagels meant for the order to other customers that come after! Came in today with my 5 year old son who is now bawling because the bagels we ordered and were told would take 5 minutes, took 20 minutes to say they sold out. I watched the bagels be sold to the people in line behind me, without my order being filled. Very very disappointed and irritated with this oversight and terrible service. Twenty minutes for a toasted bagel and my half dozen never was filled.
No apology. I had to request a refund, instead of it being offered. Won't be back which is a shame because I've been a loyal customer for years.

Aromatic, tasty bagels. crunchy on the outside, not tough at all, but not too soft either. Smells good even after a day.

Found this little gem near me. My wife loves pumpernickel bagels but they are hard to find. We were going past “Bagels on Fire” anyways so we stopped in. The first thing you will notice is the amazing Ames’s of a wood fired oven. I looked but did not see any pumpernickel bagels. I was about to leave when the young lady behind the counter asked if I needed help. I said “do you have any pumpernickel bagels” to which she replied how many did I need. At first I said six but then changed it to twelve. She told me they will be freshly baked but would take about 10 minutes. Sure enough 10 minutes later I had a bag of freshly baked bagels from the wood fired oven. They put them in a paper bag and gave me a plastic bag to freeze them when they cooled off. I brought them to our car. My wife smelled the bagels and couldn’t wait to try them. When we got home we cut them in half then put one in the toaster. We added pumpkin spiced cream cheese. Honestly, my wife said it was the best bagel she has ever had. While I am not a fan of pumpernickel I did try one and loved it. The staff (possibly family run) were absolutely wonderful. The service was amazing and while the price was a bit more than I would normally pay, it was worth paying for the quality. Inside there are three small tables and a couple more outside. They do have many toppings available. In the 10 minutes I was there many people came in to order. I highly recommend this wonderful place and will definitely be back to try more flavours, including coconut.
