I went in to place a takeout order and wasn't even acknowledged at first. After letting the person behind the counter know I wanted to order, I waited and observed something very concerning. A female staff member was walking around with a plate of fried shrimp. She set it down next to a bowl of fries, then used her bare hands to grab the fries and place them on the plate. Afterward, she wiped her hands on her pants and continued working.

At that point, I told them to cancel my order. If that's what happens in plain sight, I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes. I've ordered from this place months ago and had a better experience, but it seems like there may be new owners now. The condition of the takeout area didn't seem well-kept either.

If you're curious about how your food is being handled, I recommend standing near the takeout section—you might be surprised by what you see.

Great food, very cheering and friendly people👍love the place, def recommend to try. There’s something in the spices that’s just so special. Amazing. Will come back all the time.

We loved going to eat at the restaurant, it was the first time I ever saw my husband really love eating what he ordered. We often eat from the take out place they have. I am crazy about their caldo verde, it's so good and authentic. Please keep up the good work and quality 🙏

Expect very slow service on weekends.
Service is slow due to the business not adding enough workers. Had to wait a very long time sadly. For the weekend, should have at least 4 servers on the floor and one more in the kitchen.

from all the portuguese take outs, this one at least recently has been my go to as the food has good taste and quality which is something that has been lacking in most restaurants, also its very friendly the price is ok and its pretty quick

Parking: the street parking is always a mess so you'll need some patience to find parking if your planning to dine in

True to its authenticity of Portuguese food. Bairrada delivers a close representation of what Portuguese cuisine tastes like. Price was affordable keeping in mind the quality and portions. Found the staff to be very down to earth and friendly. I have been a loyal customer to this restaurant for over 25 years and foresee many more. If I was to offer any suggestions, a fresh look with new decor would do well for this place to reflect the quality of the food.

Quiet on a Wednesday lunch. I enjoyed the Grouper fish steak a lot, not dry ans flavorful. The homemade chili sauce elevates the flavors. The potato balls are soft and sweet . This place definitely took me back to my travel memory lane in Portugal .
