Our waiter Bryce was extremely kind and attentive! Portions weren't the biggest but definitely made up for in terms of quality! Would come back.
I wanted so badly to like this spot but sadly it truly disappointed. I read reviews prior but I'm looking back I believe they may have been for the old restaurant that was there previously. In fact the credit card payment was listed in the old restaurant name. For the good. Our waiter, although the service was very slow (and for 2 hours we were the only people on the place) and he was a little forgetful, was extremely personable. Upbeat, friendly and fun to chat with. Perhaps at a different restaurant he would be a huge asset. Thanks for a fun night chatting with you. But that was about it. As someone else mentioned the menu is heavy on bread and little protein. It took forever to get a basket of plain focaccia, told it took a while to ensure it was hot? Despite it being Saturday night and again we were there at 5:30 and the only diners several items were already “sold out”. Half the pastas were tasty, the cacio e Pepe was not one of those but the ravioli was delicious as was the Ragu pasta. We ordered dessert, waited over half an hour and it never came. Finally decided to leave with out said dessert after a dinner that took 3 hours (for a basket of bread, one appetizer order and our mains). Again I wanted to love this place but it just didn't add up to the reviews that I saw and appeared in Trip Advisor to be for the previous restaurant in this location.

All the staff is warm and amazing. Food is really good, the place is super nice, but the staff is the best.
Had a wonderful evening and meal at Mulino! The gnocchi was phenomenal and the drinks were quick and tasted great. Service and atmosphere were awesome.
Went there for brunch but it turned out to be a lunch instead. Even though nothing we've ordered needed cooking it took so long for them to serve our brunch boards, bruschettas. Everything was super super slow. The food was ok (nothing special for brunch) but the presentation was good.
What amazing time my family and I (party of 7) had al Mulino - am a foodie who has dined at excellent restaurants and I think that this is a hidden gem in Toronto - wine list is great, our pasta plates were outstanding! And we closed with limoncello and grappa - felt like I was in Italy without having to leave Toronto Lastly, I would like to recognize how great the service was by Laura (the restaurant manager) - I promised her I will come back and certainly I will
Kitchen was unable to make order. We waited 1h10 min for 2 charcuterie boards (zero cooking required, only one other table in the restaurant so not busy at all). Those were for 2 of our attendees, the rest was not delivered as they started cooking the rest of the meals after that wait. We thus cancelled everything and left. The 2 boards were offered free of charge which was a nice gesture and our waiter was doing his best and being very nice but unfortunately this restaurant is not ready to cater to people - looks like the chef was absent or other major issues are happening...
Everything was delicious but my favourites were the chicken cacciatore pizzetino, polenta fries, and tiramisu. And make sure you top it all off with a delicious bottle of lambrusco ?
I loved visiting Ballaro! The atmosphere is a mix of classic, high-end, and yet, simple! The manager was also very professional and welcoming when I requested to have my fashion photoshoot taken at the restaurant last summer!Thank you Ballaro - Mission Lasagna!

Disgusting. Tastes like chef boyardee and barely any cheese. I added a whole block of mozzarella and Parmesan to make it look good. Pulled off all the cheese and scraped the “meat” off just to save my cheese.
Ordered lasagnas from ubereats with the buy 1 free 1 deal and was disappointed! Not worth the price at all for the taste. The lasagnas portions were small and there wasn't even much cheese or depth to the flavour. It's something you can make for $15 yourself not pay $40 for that small amount.
No dining in during pandemic lockdown, but offering absolutely divine lasagna to take out. Call them: you can either order a lasagna already cooked or have them prepare it for you to cook at home.
I swear reviews on google and uber eats are rigged or they have their friends writing reviews. I went off the ratings. Worst lasagna i ever had. Was certainly not fresh and was very dry. Very small portions and lean cuisine lasagna tastes better. I hate writing this as its a tough time for businesses but also hate spending money on something not worth it
Geez, this place is good. Perfect Italian takeout setup with great food and the chef was really friendly. This place is exactly what I've always wanted in an Italian restaurant. Prices are so good I can't believe it.I will definitely keep coming back
