Disgusting. A lady was replacing the garbage bag and then without washing her hands or even putting any gloves was taking orders and holding the cups as well. That’s so unhygienic and disgusting.

I asked the front staff if almond milk or lactose free milk is available. She said they had both available so I ordered a Machiatto with almond milk. The front staff told me "you know it's not like Starbucks". In my head I thought "yes, it's clearly Balzac's". Anyway, I told her that I was aware "it's not like Starbucks" but that interaction left me feeling confused. She was quite rude and abrupt to other customers too- not really a nice welcome to the first customers of the day.
Slow service waited 20 minutes

Horrible service, the food and drinks are not good and the guy who works here acts creepy and doesn’t listen to your order! Completely mistakened our order

Terrible service. Waited for 30 min for a sandwich. Never got it. Had to request a refund because I was about to board.

I got through the tunnel and security in 12 minutes. I’ve been waiting 30 minutes for my coffee.

The coffee was bitter and stale, the food was bland and poorly prepared, and the service was inattentive and rude. Overall, a disappointing experience not worth repeating.

Almost the only option on the air side of Billy Bishop airport. Some very kind employees make up for the less kind ones...! ;)
Coffee is ok and food good depending of what you order. Recommend the scones. Note that salty food is pretty basic (e.g. small bread cut in halves, one triangle of cheddar, one geometrically correct egg for 8.50$).
P.S. be aware the company operating the coffee shop put the credit card charges on the client! If you mind, just pay debit ;)

Service might be faster if the fancy-pants gelled back collage male kid stoped ogling and flirting with every moving opposite gendered person
Did not even get me a spoon to eat with since he was so busy staring at the customer at the other till that was of opposite gender.

What can I say about Billy Bishop’s Balzac? Sure, it’s name is probably the best thing about it - but that is a pretty high bar. Don’t really understand why it’s rated so low. Not loads of veggie options, but the salad and tomato soup was tasty (if a little small - it’s soup, please sir, I want some more!). For an airport, pretty good!
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Can see the information board from the seating.
Vegetarian options: Limited options, but it’s the only spot in the terminal.
Tofu panini was pretty good.
Cesar salad was veggie… but nothing to get excited about.

$8 for the worst iced coffee of my life is pretty amazing. like, the worst. The staff here is nice though. They can’t help that their business is bad and the coffee is burnt to hell.
The set up of food prep here is horrendous. One person preps the food one-handed using tongs then disappears into the back to heat the food up. The process is so slow, it's painful. One customer demanded a refund because the food took so long. It was ready about 7 minutes after that. I ordered 2 drinks, had to ask for the second one. I ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches, 2 were ready, had to wait for the third one. Those items plus juice and yogurt was $63. Never again!
