A jewel amongst the coffee places around here. Great vibe and awesome service. Lattes are always fantastic. Hitting the right spot. But lately I’ve been getting the salted caramel one. Delicious!!

So grateful that at least balzacs has baked vegan goodies unlike Starbucks and Tim Hortons. They got at least half a dozen options from cashew cookies, oat fudge, banana muffins to a few more pre-packed goodies. I ordered a decaf salted caramel latte with oat milk and half sweet. It was leaking all over. When I took it to them, they kept it on a cloth/towel (probably what is used to wipe the counter?) and then put another disposable cup beneath it. Perhaps the quality of the disposable cups for cold drinks could be better?

Love Balzac’s, hate this location.
Seems very strange to put up stools and dim the lights an hour before close. Even more strange to scream closing time warnings every 5 minutes at the few customers who were inside.
Though I understand firsthand how it goes working a service job, I do not understand the need to use a screechy abrasive tone to let people know. There are better ways to communicate.
The drinks were okay. Service was lacking, which threw off the vibe here.

I’m not one to complain and I understand the space can be busy but from the beginning there was zero customer service. I asked for three drinks that came to about $20. All three of us threw them out. Matcha tasted like water. Latte had no flavour and the iced coffee tasted stale.
Worst service ever, got served by Jenna. Really rude and inconsiderate. I come here all the time. I will never be back here. Flys in all their pasteries and food, disgusting
