Amazing bun bo hue, fish sauce chicken wings, and banh cuon. They have a lot of dishes that other viet restaurants in the city don’t. Service was very friendly. Looking forward to trying the pho and banh xeo next time!

The Banh Cuon is ok. The Banh Beo is nothing like the picture and they put bean sprout on top of Banh Beo??? I asked the waitress and I got the rudest reply. She pointed her finger at the small prints on bottom left corner of the menu and said “ the pictures are for illustrations only!” WTH???

Updated:
First of all, I’m Vietnamese and I cook Vietnamese foods and I know WHAT BANH BEO IS.
Secondly, the waitress wasn’t polite when she talked and had a smirky smile on her face.
Thirdly, I do speak English for living in Canada for 40 years so STOP BULLYING the Vietnamese people for not speaking/reading English.
Lastly, it’s not a nice thing for you, NEW OWNER of the restaurant, not to apologize and smoothing things out with the customer in order to improve your FOOD AND SERVICE, but had decided to come back at the customer.
PLEASE you are doing business so learn how to keep your customer happy in a polite manner!!!

The food is delicious, the price is very suitable for the quality, adding small details to increase sympathy with customers, the value for money is very reasonable.
The space is airy and the high ceiling is very comfortable.
The staff are dedicated, serving food or cleaning up, creating a feeling of caring for customers.
Will definitely come back!

The restaurant close at 9.30pm. I, my wife and our 2 kids come in around 8.50pm. My wife just walks in. She does not even have a seat yet and one of the staff say “we are out of rice roll”. My wife said “we dont want it” then the staff reply “we are closing soon, we dont take dine in”. She say it with an attitude. That is how they treat me and my family.
This is one of my favourite Viet restaurant but i am definitely not coming back after today. I would recommend everyone should avoid this restaurant.

This is the best Vietnamese food I've had in Toronto! Great quality and very flavourful food at Banh Cuon To Thanh. Their signature dish was fantastic and the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup was super tasty. The staff are friendly and welcoming too - I felt right at home. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I have always wanted to try this place. There are 3 vietnamese places within 50 meters on the same side of st clair. I have to say this was one of the worst pho soups I ever had. The beef was so tough you need a meat grinder to chew it. Will test out the other 2 spots.

There aren’t many Vietnamese restaurants serving authentic banh cuon/uot in Toronto anymore. This restaurant has a great value for great prices and the flavour is there!

My family and I used to go here all the time, they have new owners now but they’ve kept the delicious flavours and authenticity alive. The Banh Cuon Dac Biet with the fried shrimp cupcake is so good, made so fresh. The Bun Mang Viet (bamboo and duck soup) is incredible. The sauce it comes with to dip the duck is full of flavour. One of my fave viet spots in Toronto.

Great spot! They have the rarer Viet dishes that you wouldn't find in most other restaurants, like banh cuon and banh bot loc, which are quite good.

Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts!Banh Cuon Dac Biet L - Now this is pure gold, I can unequivocally call this a taste of Vietnam in Toronto. Delicately thin rice rolls encompass a tasty blend of minced pork and wood ear, accompanied with cured pork that's slightly sour and garlicky, crispy mung bean and shrimp cake and a fragrant chili fish sauce. It is satisfyingly complete and delicious and I question how such thin sheets of rice flour can hold so much filling.
