Good food, but pretty bad service
I used to go to the downtown location all the time and haven't been in years so I was really excited to try a different location!
My go-to is always the Lemongrass Tofu Banh Mi but I decided to give the Crispy Squid Banh Mi a try and it was good but I still prefer the Lemongrass Tofu one!
My partner really enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Banh Mi and Chicken Bao. The prices are still pretty good and the portions are great. The service is very quick too, which is great for a quick lunch break.
Will definitely be back and I highly recommend trying the Lemongrass Tofu Banh Mi!

Fried tofu bao: 5/5 love the crunch of the pickled vegetables.
Fried chicken bao: 5/5 freshly fried chicken with just the right seasonings.
Wish it was just a bit cheaper.
Love their grilled chicken Bahmi! Their bread is way better than what you get at Subway. Service is quick and the graffiti on the ceiling sets the mood for a good time.

Banh Mi Boys remains a Toronto classic. While not even its prices are immune to inflation, its flavour and portions are still as good as ever.
I am a huge advocate for their banh mi bao, but the $9-11 sandwiches are a solid choice. Limited options for vegetarians and vegans, so do keep that in mind.
This location has a small staff who are both efficient and friendly.

The chef creates unique food through good flavor and seasoning. They make a nice standard bao bun with a unique cook and also uniquely delightful slight sweet bread taste. The five spice pork belly has great flavor and the fried chicken is yummy with their good sauce. I appreciate both small sandwiches are filled with vegetable. I wish for two fried chicken bao buns, a different nice and healthy side option not fried like a cucumber seasoned salad, and a healthy drink option. Also, I wish to find more fresh bao buns and other wonderful five spice option.

Do not order from this business. They confirmed they would cancel this order when we mistakenly ordered from the wrong location. We called twice and they confirmed they had not made the order and asked us to cancel it through uber eats. Uber eats contracted them to verify the story and they claimed they made the meal and never told us to cancel it. Awful.

Food was good but itās a hit or miss with the bao. Sometimes itās steamed and warm but sometimes itās just room temperature. The place could be a bit cleaner. Table and chairs felt grimmy

Very mediocre and lacking in flavour. We got the Grilled Chicken and 5 Spice Pork Banh Mi, as well as the Fried Chicken And Tofu Bao. The Banh Mi was definition of āmidā. Itās mostly just bread which was fairly dry, and the filling was a very tiny portion and didnāt have much flavour. Ingredients also tasted slightly old. The Bao was a fair bit better, but still didnāt blow us out of the water. There are better places for Bao out there.
That being said, the service was great. The girl at the front and the two in the back were very attentive, kind, and respectful.
Wouldnāt go back personally but itās not a horrible option either.

Their banh mi are great, always good and have never had a bad experience here, solid options are the grilled chicken and the lemon grass tofu banh mi. I would say if you're looking for food at a good price and something healthier than most food spots this is a great option

Nice to see that this place has held up. Havenāt been here in 5-8 years, but the beef and pork belly baos were fantastic and I need to come back more often.
Placed a to go order in person during the lunch rush. I got the lemongrass tofu sandwich within 5 minutes of ordering. It was tasty and filling, staff were efficient and kind.
It's been over 10 years since I've been at Banh Mi Boys and I was worried it wouldn't taste the same. However I was pleasantly surprised how great it tasted. Food was fresh and hot. Friendly service. Wish there were more locations north of the city.
