That was the worst experience I could ever have and the worst Kebob I could have in my entire life, and pay 71$ for the food which wasn’t fresh at all ,the meat was totally cold ,and me and my friend weren’t our firs time going to an iranian restaurant ,and know what fresh meat taste like,I just had one bite and I complained which is not the way fresh Kebob taste like or even look, they took our food Less than a minute probably warmed in the microwave ,which from the first was like microwave meat, inside meat was totally cold and out side dough ,not even the way they present their dish wasn’t proper at all,so cold ,the rice was cold and taste like plastic, basically if you want to waste your money and time you could give a try but I would rather to give the money to someone in need than people who fooled their customers ,I was so embarrassed in front of my friend but my friend said it’s ok don’t say anything but I believe we have to say what we need to ,then they stop fooling us and making money out of our pocket and they need to do their job properly. Don’t recommend it at all.❌❌❌??????Probably people who don’t know what the real food is they might like it .it’s nothing like an iranian cuisine.

I had ordered a koobideh kebab with doogh for a drink. The texture of the kebab was not good at all, and the rice was undercooked. What I disliked the most was that the staff made the doogh in front of me by pouring a spoonful of yogurt and then adding soda. I don’t think this is professional for an Iranian

Friendly Staff, my wait staff Sally was helpful and stopping me from over ordering food.I almost ordered everything on the menu, that gives me a reason to return more items to try other things they offer.I lived on lisgar street for two years and finally decided to try Iranian food. It was a great experience.Viva Persia

Undoubtedly, the best Persian restaurant in Toronto. Nestled along Queen West for many years, it stands as a revered landmark. Impeccable quality and unmatched approach to Persian cuisine. Top-notch cocktails. Any disparaging remarks or negative comments are baseless and likely motivated by political agendas, as Banu remains an advocate against oppression in Iran.

What an amazing place!!! Start off with one of their delicious and perfectly crafted cocktails, each is unique and delicious, something for everyone. You can't go wrong with the menu, all their dishes are scrumptious, layers of flavor, fresh and incredible, we chose to eat family style, ordering an assortment of dishes and sharing, nothing was left!!! An absolute must go spot!!!

Beautiful art and decor throughout the restaurant. Great atmosphere and delicious traditional Persian food. Excellent customer service. I was visiting Toronto and a friend suggested this place to me. I would definitely go back if I revisit Toronto again!

Been coming here since early 2006, I remember how they had different style of seating with small plates and nice drinks. They offered traditional bazzar style dishes like grilled liver, and other mezzas accompanied by vodka.( yes Iran used to brew vodka and other libations).Overtime they changed in a good way food was always good and still is very good , tasty and in decent portion. I’ve dined here often, even ordered by foodora, Uber eats and hurrier, I’ve learned that their recipes comes fromThe three owner’s mother as they don’t believe in using cook books. So You know the food is authentic, right from the root.I later learned that this place is run by three siblings from Iran Sally,Samira, and Amir , they carry with them a great deal of story which worth hearing. The amazing siblings are friendly and will make your experience a beautiful one.You may notice writings, autographs and such on the walls, as they always sand with the issues in Iran which I praise them for that. You can also find an autograph by the Queen of Iran from the Pahlavi Dynasty ❤️.Dining at Banu is not only a culinary experience but also an education experience, you will learn about the original Iran, food cultures, history and what it means to be an Iranian. It might change your perspective on Iran unlike what the media likes to represent Iran as.The restaurant has a little market too where you can purchase rose water, dried rosebuds, spices and dried fruit traditional to Iran.

The food was delicious and service was even better- our server knew it was our first time coming to Banu and gave us amazing recommendations so that we'd try more variety and their most popular dishes. Would definetly go back!
