Had such a great experience at Bar Banane last night. The vibe was warm and intimate without feeling pretentious. Perfect for a relaxed night out.
We ordered the smoked sturgeon rillettes, which were outstanding and perfectly balanced. Easily a standout dish.
For drinks, we tried the Berry Dangerous and Eleventh Hour, and both were fantastic.
Great atmosphere, great food, and even better drinks.

Bar Banane was underwhelming overall, especially for the price point. Drinks were just ok, nothing bad but nothing memorable, and they took an extremely long time to come out. To be fair, the staff did try to be accommodating and friendly, but even with that effort, the experience did not justify what you are paying for the cocktails. The fries were beyond greasy, almost inedible, and felt like an afterthought rather than a proper bar snack. The bathrooms were also very annoying to deal with, mixed gender and awkward to use, which added to the frustration rather than the vibe. For a place charging premium prices, it really does not feel like a premium experience. Slow drinks, mediocre food, and logistical annoyances make it hard to recommend when there are much better options at the same price level.

Attended a party here and service staff were exceptional. Would highly recommend this venue for hosting parties of 50-85 people.
Bar Banane really impressed me. The space has this warm, inviting glow and the whole vibe just feels good the second you walk in. The service was excellent! Neil, the bar manager, was genuinely kind and made the whole experience even better.
I had the “ctrl + shift + n” and it was honestly one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. The chocolate soufflé was also so rich in flavour definitely a 10/10!
I’m definitely coming back. If you want great drinks, great service, and an atmosphere that feels instantly comfortable, this place is perfect.

Well… everything was just okay. Service? Okay. Atmosphere? Okay. Drinks? Also okay. The food? Oh, that took a sharp left turn straight into ‘why did I bother?’ This was my first time upstairs and, trust me, it’ll be my last. I’ll stick to downstairs. Honestly felt like a total waste of time and money. The savory churros? Don’t do it.

Atmosphere is great but unfortunately I didnt find their cocktails amazing. They were good but not great. Dancing in the Dark was very bland and felt over diluted. I tried Borscht for Babushka next, which was much better. I could taste different layers with great balance. I like this one very much. I tried a mocktail, optional side quest and I couldnt find anything special with this one either. Our server was very friendly thou. 4 stars for the atmosphere and the friendly service but I wont return for the cocktails. The city has so much better options like CL, pompette, or mother.
