After years of living in Midtown, I finally visited Bar Batavia (above Little Sister) and I really enjoyed it! Nice atmosphere, stylish decor, excellent service and great cocktail options. Perfect for dates or a pre/post-dinner drink.
If you’re looking for a great spot for drinks on a Fri or Sat, you should definitely pay them a visit!

I went to Bar Batavia for a date on Feb 1 and was very happy with the service from either a Natasha or Natalie (forgot her name!). Great cocktail bar with a cute little charm. She recommended cocktails that I would like based on my preferences and I was not disappointed. She was so friendly and made our experience great. She showed us what some meals would look like if we ordered and I was sold on the dessert. Thank you!!!
The service was great, the waitress was so friendly and nice. We had the japanese beer which was really good, the lamb skewers were okay, maybe next I’ll try chicken. The space looks cute, the music wasn’t loud so it’s a good place for a date.

Cool little place which is really an overflow for the Little Sister restaurant downstairs. The cocktails are pretty good tasting but for that price, I expected a little more flair like a nice one piece clear ice cube. No draft beer is a quite disappointing but at least their own brew in a can is not bad. Service is not bad but could be better without the continuous asking if you want to order food, fine to ask for drinks but keep asking for food in a bar?! It gets irritating fast. Not a bad experience overall, but not something I would do again nor recommend to anyone.

Can’t say anything about the actual food or drinks. Sat there for 20 mins without any service. Safe to say we left.
It's hidden on the second floor of Little Sister, they are the same owner. The decor was vintage, feels like a private lounge, and only opens on Fridays and Saturdays. The place wasn't noisy at all, good for intimate conversations and makes you just want to chill. If you are looking for a secret cozy spot around Yonge-Eglinton, this is the place.Food (quality, presentation) - NA/5Drinks (quality, variety) - 4/5Ambience (interior, cleanness) - 4/5Service - 5/5Value - 5/5

Awesome atmosphere and great cocktails. I will definitely be back.
Cannot recommend enough! My husband and I hosted our reception here and it was fantastic! Great food, great drinks, amazing staff. Jennifer was wonderful to work with from start to finish. If you're considering hosting an event here DO IT.

Pretty small bar but just not bad for a date! They were almost out of any beer the night I was there…
The service and staff was not the best.I would even say that the server was rude.
Good ambiance and refreshing drinks
