Super appreciative of the awesome and very kind bartender making sure I (30F) felt comfortable with a situation with one of the other patrons. He followed me out to the street to make sure I was ok! Aside from that, awesome service, fair prices, and great atmosphere! Cool spot to hit after a Blue Jays game.
Bar Hop in Toronto is a small and intimate bar with a simple and no-fuss setup, making it an easy spot to stop for a quick drink on a weeknight. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, which works well if you’re just looking for somewhere low-key to unwind. It’s not fancy or over the top, but that’s part of its charm, and it does exactly what you’d want from a neighbourhood bar.
The service was friendly and attentive. One thing to note: the menu advertised buck-a-shuck oysters available with a non-alcoholic drink purchase, but when we arrived, we were told it only applies with alcoholic beverages—so that was a bit disappointing. That aside, the nachos are a definite must-try, and the buck-a-shuck oysters are always worth it (we got 48 oysters between the 2 of us).
