Beautiful restaurant. I loved the vibe and lighting, very cozy. The service was next level, super nice and attentive staff. Food menu was fun and everything came out great. Lovely time and great spot!

The octopus was the star and the bone marrow was a very close second. Beef tongue was a bit salty so they swapped it out for us with the steak, which we appreciated. Drinks and atmosphere were both great as well. Its pricey but you're paying for quality, not quantity. Will be back for sure

Bar Isabel continues to deliver some of the most flavorful plates in Toronto. The food is undeniably rich and soulful, with a clear flair for innovation that breathes new life into classic Spanish tapas. Every bite was packed with depth. While the flavors are 10/10, the presentation could use a bit more refinement; some dishes arrived looking a little more 'rustic' than expected for the price point. However, if you value taste and creativity above a perfectly manicured plate, this spot is a must-visit.

Our go-to spot for our yearly anniversary. Exceptional service and consistently great food every single time. Bar Isabel never misses.

Food was great. Server was attentive. However, The front of house guy with grey hair, beard, wearing a vest was rude. When I arrived, I explained that our party was two instead of three, he scolded me for not calling to tell the restaurant. I found him rushed, rude and lacking any curiosity or empathy for why someone at last the minute dropped from our dinner. It's a shame, he poisoned the well of our experience for the start. He was the first thing talked about when we sat down. I was distracted by him the rest of the night. The few occasions he interacted with our table I was afraid of getting another lecture for something. And, he was the last thing we spoke about on the sidewalk after dinner. Sincerely, I hope he's ok and whatever was negatively impacting his mood that evening has passed.

Great food, great service and a cozy atmosphere. Bar Isabel is consistent and its endurance as a go to restaurant in Toronto confirms this. We had our server curate our meal, and it was delicious although WAY too much food!

Perfect for couples and close friend groups. Must try octopus, bask cake and sherry options.

Fast service, knowledgeable servers. Grilled octopus and beef tongue were great, and in my opinion the pork secreto stole the show, SO GOOD!! Daily vegetable was grilled to perfection and the bartender made my Vesper perfectly. I'll skip the patatas bravatas next time; it was executed well, but for me personally, it fell flat compared to the other dishes. I'd stick to the sourdough if I had to choose a carb, which was amazing by the way. I rated the noise level as “energetic” because of the lively chatter, there wasn't loud music blaring. So while it was hard to make out everything my friend was saying, it was just because we were competing with other voices, not music, which I prefer if I had to choose. Overall great experience and I will definitely recommend it, thank you Bar Isabel!

As always, Bar Isabel provides delicious food, friendly service and a great overall experience. we went for the full Chef's choice dinner and left full and happy! Alternatively, this is a great place to pop in for a drink at the bat and a few snacks. High recommendation!

Great time at Bar Isabel, we loved our server and our food choices - especially the octopus. The dessert was also to die for.

i’ve been meaning to try bar isabel for a while, and it surpassed my expectations. this restaurant is easily one of the most thoughtful in the city — from the beautifully designed interior to the attentive, friendly service that makes you feel right at home. my water or wine glass was never empty, and the team quietly folds your napkin every time you step away from the table… elegant and effortless, never attention-seeking.

the tuna crudo might be my favourite dish on the planet right now — i would happily order ten of them (okay maybe not ten but you get the point :) everything we tried was delicious, and you truly can’t go wrong with the menu. the only slight miss for me was the octopus, which was a bit overcooked, though still beautifully plated and enjoyable.

this is the kind of place where you sit for three or four hours with good friends and lose track of time. i will definitely be back.

(not my best photos cause we got too excited when the food arrived haha)

Overall a kinda disappointing experience because the food was very average for the price.

We went there for the afternoon special and ordered octopus extra because everyone was saying how good it is. We also gave a few try’s on the drink menu.

First off, the afternoon special was a really good deal and the pork was absolutely the best course of the meal.

However , the octopus we ordered extra was very mid and not flavorful at all. We had to ask for salt to add some saltiness to it. It’s not quite worth for a $60 dish. The drinks were also not that good. I ordered two mocktails thinking maybe the second one would be better but it wasn’t really. Our bill ends up $200+ for two people.

I would not recommend it if you’re looking to spend $100+ per person and expect above average good food.
