We went yesterday to celebrate my birthday with the family. The place is very nicely decorated; the food is not great but decent, but the service was terrible; the server didn't even look us in the face, and every time we asked him for something, he acted very rude. It was uncomfortable, and I would not return to this place again.

Went yesterday and the service was probably the worst I had in Canada in a very long time. Host cared more to hangout with friends than do their job. Place is nicely decorated. Pizzas were average.

The place is so stunning!! The food was reaaaally yummy and our server was amazing! Unfortunately did not catch his name but he had a face tattoo. I know that doesn't explain much but I wanted to mention that because he helped us celebrate my friends birthday so well & which meant a lot to us! Also loved that there's a cool vibe downstairs with some games. Will definitely be coming again

My bf made reservations at Bar Poet almost 2 months in advance for my birthday, I always wanted to dine here and it was a first time for both of us.The hostess led us to a 4 person table to share with 2 random girls and walked away. I expressed to her my disappointment, as we were dressed up and this would not be very intimate.She offered another shared table-and I asked if we could have a booth. She said they were reserved. We said our reservations were so months in advance, and she elaborated that they’re reserved for bigger parties.Upset, I asked to sit at the bar.Ron, the bartender, was amazing and saved my night, he cared that it was my birthday. The food was amazing and threw in a couple of treats for us.Will return to sit at the bar.
