Cozy drinks and small-plates spot. I believe they have a similar, if not the same menu as Barque Smokehouse, but this is a little more focused on the bar and take-home marinaded meats. I've been here several times for drinks and it feels like a good place to be in for hours. They offer board games as well, so look out for that if you're bringing kids.

Cozy, casual. Just burgers & wings now but same great service and delicious food. Small but good beer selection. You have to go to Barque (proper) if you want ribs and the full menu now.

Easily the best fries I have ever had! The burger was great too.

Great food. Some of the best wings I’ve ever had. The nacho taco plate was a little odd. The fries were dark & crispy. The drinks were great.. Nice staff. A little wait’. But got a bill reduction. We would return in a heartbeat.

Great food. Awesome wings. Neat tacos. Food took a little while ‘ so bartender gave us a discount. Very nice gesture. We would come back.

Loved this bbq joint, the burgers and wings were so delicious and the prices are very reasonable, definitely recommend checking this place out!

I eat a lot of burgers. I love burgers. I truly only love great burgers. This does not mean fancy burgers but it does mean quality burgers. I like the meat ground in house and a perfect bun. Meet one of the burgers on my Top in Class @barquebbq new spot Bar*Q. It’s a super fun neighbourhood vibe with not only great smash burgers but also killer wings, Hot Dill being one all served with home pickled celery. Their pimento cheese is not to be missed. Grab it and smash it on your burger! They also have an Old Fashioned design yourself bar which is always warming. Have a blast here peeps. And do not. I repeat do not miss the brined shoestring fries, they are crazy good.

Yesterday was my second visit, and I was super happy, again! The wings, brisket ribs, and pulled pork were all perfect, sides were excellent, and most importantly, the service was tremendous. I drove almost 2 hours to get here, and will again.

Definitely not up to standards to the original place up the street

Dare I say it - in a way this offshoot is better than Barque itself. Friendlier staff, and a quieter atmosphere. It’s a truncated menu, but a very good burger (if slightly overdone), ribs plate, meat platters and much other. An excellent rotating selection of craft beers, and a few decent wines as well. Small gripe: the glaring televisions oddly out of touch with the rest of the ambiance of the place. (Especially when playing sports.)

We often go to Barque and were interested in checking out the second location. The service staff were friendly, but a bit disorganized. Butcher Bar is not equipped like the original Barque location for food allergies. The fries were a tad overcooked, and way over salted (ordered without the rub). The $12 garden salad came with mixed greens, maybe 1/8th of a cup grated carrots and half a radish sliced. Some of the ingredients in the Cesar salad were fridge cold, and the tacos were ready well before the rest of the meal and were served cold by the time the salads and fries were prepped. Will not be returning to this location.

More relaxed and casual version on the main Barque location up the street, serving awesome BBQ and small plates. We had the Meet Meat for 2 and the stand out for us was the lemon pepper baby back ribs - they were phenomenal. Everything else was fantastic with layers and layers of flavour, although I would recommend checking the menu in advance because it is on the small side. Also, the smokers choice was tempting but you can only select this option if everyone at your table has this, so that won't always work for most diners.

Really disappointing. used to buy their steaks at Barque Butcher Bar. which they have stopped selling. Bought ribs, not good. Heated them for 10 minutes. Not much meat on the bone, not salted at all. I hate lots of salt but these had none. But lots of mediocre bbq sauces.
